Thats the thing about people whom gangbang.  They are excellent when their clan members are doing fighters around 5vs1 or 10vs1 - but when they fight 1vs1 they are not as good as they we're in the gangbangs.  That shows something about people disrespecting other members.

Like Zeb said, it can be called harasment and you can get banned for it if someone reports it to a admin.

Those guys who enter in a system where are 10 clan members must think twice before attacking them.Or simply,come in,say hi,and ask for pvp's.Its so hard to do this?


Its so easy to send a trap for clans...go alone between them,shoot one of them,make smart and delicate insults forcing all to shoot you...then ss and cry in forums or to admins for gang-bang...
As we can see,this problem is very delicate and im sure admins will treat it very carefully.

@ Zyraxes - You have missed the point of this entirely.  READ THE QUESTIONS I have asked in my previous post - thats if you botherd to read them?

If someone is daft enough to enter a system where 10 enemy pilots are sitting and go right up to them and start shooting then they deserve all they get.  If they continue to do this after docking at a station right on the door of these pilots and they continue to attack then they deserve all they get.  The point of this is that the complaint did NOT come from the person attacked but from someone who observed what appeared to be a very unfair advantage.  What I and other ADMINS will not tollerate is one player being hunted down and constantly killed over and over again.  What we wont stand for is a group of more than 4 attacking a single player repeatedly even after requests for mercy.  Should the attacked player still fight back (which is a natural reaction) then they are accepting the combat.  If they have had enough they need to say so and back down from the fight.  

As to the Point of Clans - I would have thought that was obvious.  You have a group of like minded players who wish to undertake a particular RP or activity.  There is strength in numbers. There is also strength in experience. A group of 5 or more players stand a better chance of hunting down their enemies and promoting their RP than a single player alone (depending on the Clan and RP of course!).....!  If you are assailed by your enemy and he has greater numbers than you do - call for assistance from your allies and team members - this is how fights, Free For All's and Wars are started.

This is a shooter server - BUT there are rules and limits to be followed - thats why there are ADMINS and VOID Guardians.  

Blazin' s comments are covering an old problem that has existed here since the server started.  What is fair and what is not fair?  This is an ongoing question.  What you see as perfectly ok, may not be the same as what someone else feels.  10 to 1 is most definately "unfair" if the victim is not seeking combat.  Can you imagine the embarassment if 10 players were put to the test by 1?  And believe me I have seen it done.  The One died frequently but not after taking at least five or six of the larger group!  We are not all aces.  Last night is an example of exactly what this question addresses.

Battleships and Gunboats turn up armed to the teeth - feeling that they can be invincible and control the access between Alexandria, New York and Sparta.  Single Pirates and Evil clan members are attempting to get to Sparta and are being denied access by the Battleships.  To address this problem they organise themselves in a loose confederation and attack the Battleships and Gunboats - Guess what?  They are not invincible after all...!  To cap it, any player unlucky enough (or lucky enough depending on your point of view) to come to the New York / Sparta gate in Alexandria was met by four or five Pirate / Evil players intent on causing mayhem.  Most joined in.  Very few complained.  Those that did not enjoy the experience went somewhere else - The VOID is a big place. One of the BATTLESHIPS complained that they were being "GANGBANGED" - this is funny because in most one to one PvP between a BS and a FIGHTER the fighter will come off worse - How to combat BS? - Gang up on them!  Battleships & Gunboats  in groups of three or more are very tough to crack.  Just dont go swaning around in your new toy thinking that you are untouchable......Cos your not!

One battleship in particular returned time and time again and sadly was pretty much left on his own to take on the fighters.  After a while it became clear that he was not having too much fun.  My wingman and me turned off the heat. Some of the others kept at it because, given his spirit, he was shooting back at them still....! From what I recall, we eventually laid off as he had requested that we stop and we turned our attentions to some of the ORION crew that turned up and even on each other! Your gamesmanship was noted and appreciated by those that were there even if you were caught in a painful trap....again thanks for being a sport - you know who you are....

If you get caught in a fight - dont whine about it.  If you are outnumbered either run or ask for clemency (mercy). If you are offended or feel that you have been harrassed, let the ADMINS and VOID know and they will decide whether you have a case or not.

I'm not complaining or being offensive, I respect everyones opinion, so here goes :

Ive been gang banged on my first day on void by 6 [X] asking for 50% of my credits,
allot of time later, I joining a clan that contained the persons that owned me the first
day, then I freelanced as a [R] with unknown identity to
see how it was like. Then navy again.

Conclusion:

When I was navy I hated the pirates and the rogues
When I was a rogue, I hated the navy allot worst then I used to hate the pirates
Then when I was navy again, It didn't matter what I learn, I hated [R] again

Some may tell me that I learn nothing, but thats how the RP goes in my opinion )
best is you warn staff IN GAME of a abuse, the forums are not meant for drama,
some people use it cause they cant scream enough in game.

This is a good discussion, whether or not someone feels it will yield results as some might expect, i think its good to have an adult conversation that might enhance the quality of our game ..and thats exactly what its about imo, being an adult and having fun ..it all comes down to common sense, it wouldnt mean anything to me if someone raped me 10 vs one or 5 vs one, its common sense that its not a ''win-win'' situation nor is it a fun situation, so its up to those who have largely greater numbers to realize that 10 vs one isnt pwning,owning or anything, its like a bug in the game caused by the human factor who cant realise that killing some guy in that manner doesnt make him/her the ruler of the universe ..i can say for myself that i would fight on the side of that one person no matter my tag or the tag of the bullies, cause that would be and always will be RP for me  :D

No matter how much you talk about this, things never change. Gangbanging's a part of the game. Simple: If you can't beat them with fair numbers, get more people. Remember the movie 300?

Picture yourself as one of the Spartans, beating multiple enemies at a time, but then failing when mass numbers arrive.

It doesn't matter how good you are, there's always someone better (Skills OR Numbers). So I say just go on with it.

Have a smoke, have a beer, pacifier, whatever pleases you and just move along. Things don't change.
