hey guys its Electra
with the help of HH i was able to get freelancer back
(big thanks HH )
but now i got a new problem...
this...





i reinstalled freelancer a couple of times and i still get this
when i click ok freelancer closes
anyone got a good idea??

When you bought the video card, you got a Cd-rom with it. It contains the software the computer needs use the card. Put it in and reinstall or repair the previous installation.

If u don't have drivers on cd, download them from producer website. Use the control panel add/remove feature to uninstall old one's, and then after reboot install new drivers.

Electra you need to learn the golden rule of problem solving which says: "Google is your friend." If you want us to help you first have to tell us the manufacturer and the model of your graphics card. You can check that by right-clicking on My computer icon and selecting Properties, then click on the tab Hardware and click on Device Manager. After you did that check the Display adapters of Other devices for the name of your card. So once again right-click on my computer > properties > hardware > device manager > display adapters/other devices. After you did that post the name of your card and I will give you the drivers that match your card best.

you need to know what grafic card you have and later just find the update of the drivers.

you can look what grafic card you have in the folder where you have all your periferics,
if you use XP it is in
START/PANNEL OF CONTROL/SERVICES AND MAINTENANCE/AMMINISTRATION TOOL/MENAGEMENT PC/SYSTEM UTILITY

here just find the your video card icon and look in it

Unless its a custom chip set, you most likely have an Nvidia, or an ATI card in you system, but we really need to know which card it is. If you can't manage to find out from the Device Manager, then try downloading this progam. Aida32

Unzip the files, run the aida32.exe file, and click on summary, scroll down and it will tell you what gfx card you have, and if you are lucky will give a link to download the driver for it.

Electra, if any of that is too hard to understand to figure out how to find out what card you have do this: Start > Run > type in 'dxdiag' with out the ' ' when that screen comes up, chose the 3rd tab "Display". On the left hand side, you will see the name of your video card, the manufacturer as well as the chipset of the video card. The only thing we need is what type of card you have so that we can tell you where to go to get the right drivers you need. Hope you understand this and hope it helps.
