VOID PVP training sessions

Post by Maverick »

I thought this might be nice for the ones in need. I organized them before and they can be quite fruitful.

The purpose of this thread is to get trainees and potential trainers in contact with one another. So everybody who thinks he can use a little training in pvp techniques - basic or advanced - can post his request here. Also, every 'vet' or 'pro' or anyone who thinks he can teach another player something, can post here. Please remember to also post your preferred fighting style if you do, so folks can find a suitable teacher.
You might also look for advice here as to the properties of the different available ships, and which ship will suit you best.
There are some vet players here who have a keen eye for this.

If there is enough interest for this, people can also use this thread to make appointments for training sessions. But if you have found a trainer/trainee, you can also do this by PM ofcourse.

The designated place to have training sessions is EFZ (Elite Fight Zone). For those who don't know: this system is designed especially for pvp, and the gate to it is located at the back of the Sparta system (the one with the shielded city in the middle).

New players please note: the use of bats and bots, which is also called regenning, is NOT ALLOWED in EFZ.

*Little headsup: I don't have the time to act as a trainer or trainee myself this time, although I will try and take part as much as I can.*

Please keep this thread on topic and flame-free. Thanks.

Hope this works out. Good luck to all and remember to have fun.

hmm nice idea there mav...

it will be interesting to see how many people are interested in being a trainer/trainee. i might offer myself as a trainer, depending on how many and who wants to be trained, if indeed anyone does...

-Do the trainers get payed?

and also trainers should stick to teaching their fighting style. e.g. i'd only teach sniping, as i wouldnt be much help as a brawler or boxer teacher

No I'm sorry m8. It's not like in an event where the participants - or winners - get payed. This is just what most of us already do while in game. The thread is just an effort to slightly organize it and shorten the lines between newbies and vets a bit. It should be done from goodwill, to help out others who can use it.

About fighting style: Good one. It might be a good idea for potential trainers to post their styles, so trainees can find a suitable teacher. I edited the first post.

Thanks for the input.

Pvp training is good idea but hard to implement.Clans do give pvp training but not all clans have ppl who can train others.
Some time ago there was [FAQ] clan, they were helping newbies to the void.Same thing could be made again with additional task of pvp training.

@Molten: About the payments. Righto, I misunderstood you. I think that trainees and trainers can best sort this out amongst them selfs. i really don't make up the rules, just try and shorten the lines between them. So if you want to get some nice credits out of it, and you can arrange this with your trainee, please be my guest. It's all up to you.

'Luck.

So, what about training, or should we just search the mentioned trainers in game?
10 mil is not so many, but to really new players it can be too much
