The "disconnect player for lag" system.

I have virtually no programs running when I play Freelancer, and I run a high-speed internet. Yet I'm still disconnected for no visible reason. I'm not pleased with this system. Nor are other Void Players. I'd like to know what the deal is with this system, it seems to disconnect players randomly more then the lagging ones. :-w If other players are unhappy about this as well, please, post here, so the admin's know.

Admisn told me ocne that it starts kicking peeps when its thinking about crashing...lol

they cant choose who the console auto kicks.. lol

happens to everyone, dotn get stressed out.

If that's true, then the server just crashed. Or, it made it so I cannot connect again...

na, after kicking u for lag it asks u to turn off all extra programs. so it should let u back on if it hasnt its crashed or soemthing.

Please dont guess whats going on, this has been covered numerous times.

when the server load becomes high, so much that it affects game play, it looks for players who it thinks are lagging the server, then disconnects them, 2 or 3 at a time. it will block those players for 10 mins before allowing re-connect

Whilst you may have an uber pc with an uber connection, its the round trip time AND delay that triggers it. So, you may have an issue with your carrier rather than your pc or connection.

It has nothing to do with crashing the server.

Anyway, I should add: I was just cruising through some of the distant systems with a mate of mine this evening, when the server started kicking. Funny enough it never kicked me once, but kicked my mate I believe 4 consequetive times. I can understand that, when that happens, it's just not funny anymore. They hardly seem random kicks to me.

It makes a person's mood change randomly. I have it so bad that if I was in the greatest mood in my life, and something bad happened, something as minor as stubbing my toe, I might flip out. It runs in my family, sadly. And I cannot get medication for it either.

It's kicked me and Hazel 4 times now, in a row. And yeah, it's not funny. I haven't been kicked while others were kicked several times as well.
