As we are all more than aware Real Life has a tendency to interfere with our "game time" here.  It is one of the small pleasures that I get and to be honest over a period of time somewhat obsessed with.  I have reached a crutial point with regard to my real life conflicting with my "game" life and an ultimatum that I had not seen coming.   My family comes first.

For that reason I am reliquishing leadership of the -=REAVERS=- as a clan.  I will continue to have one -=REAVERS=- character and that will be the BANK character.  I will no longer be flying as an active -=REAVERS=- clan member and the characters will be deleted.  The -=REAVERS=- are welcome to continue  - as with the AoF.
Chaps - its all yours - feel free to do with it what you will - change it or keep it the same, its up to you.

I cannot give my time to both the position of VOID and also be the leader of a clan - I have for the second time proved this to be the case.  As with -=REAVERS=- so with the AoF.   They have both been (and still are!) very difficult and forward thinking ideas within this Shooter Server - many of the ideas have been copied by others, possibly not so successfuly.

I will also be playing a lesser role as VOID.  Believe me not much will have changed and I will be checking the webpage on a regular basis as I do not wish to give up on this game altogether.  I will return to being a freelancer and flying where and when I see fit.   I will also be making it as low key as possible.  I will go back to helping the newcomers and such.  Please be very aware however that this is not a "climb down" from my position regarding certain subjects and the behavior of certain individuals.

Should circumstances offer I will take whatever oportunity to be involved as and when I can.  Spending upwards of four to five hours of my spare time playing this game has become unacceptable to my wife.  There are "golf widows" and there are "freelancer widows".  Im not about to sacrifice my relationship for a £10 online game that is sadly contaminated with some very undesirable individuals and I am stepping away from things for a bit as I feel that there are those that have succesfuly manipulated things to their own advantage.  Good luck to you - you are and will always remain a poor substitute to the far better and more honourable players that existed and continue to exist here.  

So - bottom line - I would wish to retain my VOID position despite a great reduction in appearances. I am giving up control of a clan  as work and family time does not make it feasable for me to do this.  I will be "getting out more" - I suggest the rest of you do the same...!

All the best to the members that I have enjoyed being around - from all clans.  My respects to those who earned it. My contempt to those that continue to behave in a poor manner with bad attitudes, and conduct themselves in an underhand and devious manner.

ah the old problem.  I've given up many hours of play for the same reason myself.  I will tell you that although it's never the situation you want to find yourself in, it happens a lot.  Weither its games, or friends or anything your significant other has to come first and I think you made the right decision.  We'll still be seeing you around at least, just not as much of you.  Good luck mate.

Although it sorta pains me to read this, these things happen and you made the right call bud. We all know that it can be difficult to make this decision, even though it is in principle just a game, after a while it is more than that. You're part of a community in motion. And it can proof difficult to keep a sensible distance. It does take a lot of time, and that has is effect on your better half. Believe me, it happens to most of us.

You have put your stamp on this community in the best possible way.

All I am left to say is that I wish you all the best in your RL and with your misses. Spend some good quality time with her. And in the case you have forgotten how to: You have my msn lol.  :P  ;)
Take your time to get things sorted and come back when you're ready.

I hope we can keep in touch through other means than Void.

Well RL hits as all at one point and u cant stop it, if there was a way to make RL go away then i would do it but i cant, i can say im glad u aint steppin away from the game cuz i have seen to many people leave the game and its heartbreakin in a way. If ya need some sort of wingman for npcs or just to help out u know where to call mate :)have fun and take care !

Well Zeb,all i have to say is that we all go through this.
I have gone through this and returned once only to retire again.(Btw i am still retired in case u thought i have returned as some are thinking ? ,i am just checking out the site and acting as a Chief Mentor to AoF.)

If i am not wrong u did go through this once only to return again.

I thnk u made the right choice and decision,tbh with u this game can become an obsession as u rightly pointed out and u start thinking about this all the time.I went through it so i quit.
Tbh with u i was expecting this in a way,i always thought u had a difficult job as a Void and to be leader of clan.

Moderation is always the most difficult thing to achieve in life.

Anyway unlike me u can still afford to hang in the game and fly in space.

In the end i think just as u are now trying to spend quality time with ur family,and with limited time to play u will spend quality time in Void as well,which is good,in this case the quality matters more than the quantity of time u spend in Void.

GL,mate and remember if u need some kind of low profile role here in Void other than being a Void Guardian,u can always choose the role of an Advisor or Chief Mentor to AoF like me.
U dont have to much in this role,just advise.

U are THE FOUNDER of AoF and considering what u want,it will be a great privilege to offer u this.We always need experienced guys.


And i dont think u have to worry too much about future of Reavers,i am sure it will be bright,take a look at AoF,it did well even after u left.
