Right...quite an extensive list here so bear with me.
Star Wars sextrilogy (that means there's 6 btw it's not a pr0n remake lol)
Indiana Jones trilogy (new one just felt forced and over reliant on digital effects)
Batman Begins (the whole fear motif was great)
The Dark Knight (forget the hype about Heath Ledger, no-one would care if he hadn't died but it IS a great film)
Star Trek movies (Wrath of Kahn and Undiscovered Country in particular)
Split Second (a bizarre British horror/comedy starring Rutger Hauer almost impossible to find)
Dune (theatrical cut..the TV/extended cut while more inclusive storywise is very badly edited)
The 13th Warrior (Beowulf in all but name, particularly noteable for it's recreation of Ahmed Ibn Fadlan's account of a Rus ship funeral..yes Ibn is a real historical person lol)
Beowulf and Grendel (2005 starring Gerard Butler shot entirely in Iceland, miles better than the CGI effort of 2007)
The Terminator (the sequels just utterly broke the whole time travel mythos)
12 Monkeys (Terry Gilliam's surreal time travel epic)
Time Bandits (more time travel with an all star cast)
Alien and Aliens (after that they just lost the plot completely and tried to force it)
Predator, Predator 2 (some iffy second unit directing aside Predator is one of the most well made films I've ever seen)
AVP and AVPR (Although mere shadows of their source material both do fair credit to the Predator/Alien universe)
A Bridge Too Far (a stunning true story of British wartime grit in the face of certain defeat..doesn't show the Americans as the heroes other movies always mess about doing either)
Halloween and Halloween 2 (Carpenter's horror tour de force..the sequels folowing these two were weak at best)
The Thing (cold war paranoia pushed into overload by a malevolent alien)
The Fog (original version..Carpenter again lol)
They Live! (Carpenter's sci-fi horror comedy featuring the best fight scene ever filmed between Rowdy Roddy Piper and Keith David..the originator of the line "I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum")
Spawn (underrated and underbudget film version of Todd Mcfarlane's horror comic series. John Leguizamo is absolutely brilliant in this)
Dawn of the Dead (original version..features more headshots than any other film I can think of)
Pitch Black (breakout indy sci-fi flick which made Vin deisel a legend)
Enemy Mine (a sci-fi must see, effortlessly handles racism, religion, war and politics all in one go, massively underrated)
This Island Earth (cult classic sci-fi and the source of our own fracture's avatar
)
Blade Runner (although I prefer the theatrical cut the final cut is great too, based on a short story)
Total Recall (another one based on a short story, twists a plenty with a under running enigma about the reality of the whole thing, plus Arnie gets kicked/punched in the jewels and awful lot)
True Lies (brilliantly scripted action comedy in which Arnie is actually funny, although he is helped a lot by Tom Arnold)
Erik The Viking (loosely based a childrens story of the same name by Terry Jones, pythonesque take on Viking adventuring)
Python Films (enough said)
Suspiria (surreal horror by Dario Argento, spawned 2 lackluster sequels. Regarded as the most scary film of all time even beyond the Exsorcist, that is until the last 15 minutes, features bright colours and superb unique use of music)
Warlock (brilliant cult horror comedy...you HAVE to see it)
American Psycho (he is crazy, but not as crazy as he thinks...brilliant film. Sequel totally stank)
A Nightmare on Elm Street (genuinely scary teeny horror followed by flimsy sequels more about special effects than fear)
An American Werewolf In London (excellent horror comedy featuring some very special special effects)
The Howling (another werewolf flick made by a competing special effects team to American in London, both teams tried to outdo each other's change scenes making both films visually stunning)
A Company of Wolves (surreal horror fantasy twist of little red riding hood)
Last Action Hero (action comedy in which Arnie allows himself to be the butt of all the jokes...well worth seeing)
Hellraiser (cult horror classic from the pen of Clive Barker..sequels are a bit hit and miss)
Carry on films (classic camp British humour, some are better than others)
THX 1138 (weird cult sci-fi about forbidden love from George Lucas, almost all his subsequent films feature subtle references to it not including the obvious THX sound system)
Near dark (cult vampire flick)
Obviously there are more but I'd be sat here all day if I don't stop now
Best I just name my favourite film stars - that would be easier and then you can get the idea...!
