ya you are right - and it;s time for me to teach myself how to control my manners atleast in the Month (ramadan) cause Fasting from Food only or Drink only wont work - must fast from swears and bad words , and any bad actions....
also no sex during day light ... hehe but im still loving RAMADAN !!!  :x

Oh I see, isn't the Islamic calendar lunar rather than solar? because that would explain a lot. Some of my wiccan friends use a lunar calendar but then all their celebrations are based on solar events lol (equinoxes and solstices).

I know the anglo-saxons used a lunar calendar as well and so did the norsemen (by the saxon calendar it's Tiw's daeg day 20 of Weodmonað 1559 and by the norse it's Tyr's Dag, day 20 of Double-Moon, in the year 1008) but to be honest in spite of it's Christian origins the gregorian calendar is just kindof "standard" so I use that lol.

yes, Ramadan is a month in muslim lunar calendar

in my country we use christian solar calendar everyday. we only look at the lunar calendar when we want to check when the religious celebrations are taking place.
