joining a clan
Which one is sensible for a player who plays mp first time: Joining a clan quickly or doing navy's or police's quests for gaining some money for some time. Which one is easier?
I'll be the first
To watch your funeral
And I'll be the last
To leave
To watch your funeral
And I'll be the last
To leave

I guess finishing some quests and trying to kill some rouges is very though for the first time, with the first type equipments. I guess you're right.. We'll see.

Re: joining a clan
If you're willing to join a clan do it as soon as possible or you'll have to remap again. Because you'll be forced to make a new char with your new clan tag.
Take your time deciding what's best for you and what server's clans have to offer (or what do they want from you). Read clans RPs now that server is off.

Explore, see how clans and players act, fight and train a bit and then choice a clan. You could keep your first char, and when you decide to join a clan then your clan mates would helps you.
good luck

Re: joining a clan
Take your good time to get to know the clans, the mod and - most importantly - the people who play here. There are many players here, from different countries and with different backgrounds. Even though you think you like someone, you might come back to that when you have spent some time with him. If you want to join a clan, lots of them would love to have you. Some will even ask you repeatedly to join them. My advice to you is to not accept any of those invitations for now. Joining a clan means getting committed, and spending a lot of time with your clan mates. You have to be sure you are comfortable with the people in that clan. And sometimes a good view on people takes more than a first glance... ;)
A very good point was made by Babieca: keep your freelancer char. Not only because it will have the biggest part of the mod mapped, but also because it allows you to escape from the clan-life for a while and fly your freelancer char. There will be a point in your clan career when you will find it relieving to have a little break from all clan-related stuff. Trust me, I know.
Short and sweet: Take your time to spread your wings and make up your mind about a number of things. If you need any more advice on the matter, or with anything, feel free to contact my [FAQ]-MAVERICK- char in game. I would be glad to help you out with anything.
