History of chickengeorge

Post by [IFU]Warchief »

Hey guys I thought since I have settled in for a long haul on Void this time I felt it might be appropriate to give my true history. I am 58 years old and disabled. I have COPD/congestive heart failure(no heart damage)diabetes and neuropathy. Anyway because of this I take a lot of meds all by perscription and only as little as possible. Yes I am on hard narcotics for the pain but I don't advocate the use of drugs for entertainment. I did that for years and at the time I finally quit I had a 200 dollar a day habit. So any jokes I make about my meds are nothing more than me being flippant. Rest assured I tell the server this not for synpathy but so when I refer to my meds or health  no one thinks I am being a butthead. In the past and it will continue in the future I will take a very dim view on anyone who feels sorry for me.
I was given my first computer in 2000. Until that day I had never had much experience with a PC or online games. But I was wasting away in my home from lack of activity and socialization. So my family encouraged this hobby. Now I am the family computer geek taking care of all hardware issues and many software issues I spent a good deal of time at first on chat lines especially adult lines. Thats because I have a very adult sort of sense of humor,Heck I even tease my kids about thier sex lives. Ifr I don't make at least one off color remark to one of the girls on each visit They start to worry I am ill. LOL Eventually a good friend gave me a copy of Freelancer and I fell in love. I signed onto my first freelancer server in 2003 I believe OMG it was Void. Being new to RP and combat type games I had problems on Void and soon moved on to less difficult servers. By the time I found MU I was a mediocre player without many combat skills. Only something happened on MU a clan there ticked me off. I vowed to them at that time they would rue the day the mad me angry. Over the next year I started the IFU and destroyed that clan and 3 others.Plus I did it within the rules of RP. Members of the IFU moved on to start 2 other clans and we could put in space a fleet of 200. Eventually we had problems with the admins of MU and we created Rogue Universe. At no time were we prepared for the response we got from the players. As I was the only one physically present with  the server the work involved concerned my wife and she put her foot down and I had to give up the server. Well other things happened and eventually I moved on to EVE online Better than a year on Eve has never brought the satisfaction or excitement I experience with FL. So I dumped my accounts on Eve and here I am back on Void
This is a long post but since I have decided to stay on Void I thought a history lesson was in order so everyone can understand me. Now maybe some of the comments I make in the forums might make more sense.

Well well did you surprise me! LOL! I NEVER thought you were 58 m8. I find it quite amazing that the Void even has the power to hook players of your respectable age. On the other hand: When I think about it, Void is more then just a Freelancer server isn't it. It's also a very large and great community of people of all sorts and colors. One of the things I like best, and one of the things I can imagine hooked you. It gives you a chance to interact with a great group of people without leaving your house.
It was great to read your story and I wanna thank you for sharing it. It says a lot about you. From the moment I met you I thought you make a great addition to this community. And we could always use another mature brain here. ;)

I'm glad I got to know a little more about you m8. I really hope you have fun here, but I think you already do. If you ever feel like joking around, feel free to green me. ;)

Cya in space m8.

An off color sense of humor?  I bet you're fitting right in...  :D
We're making a list.
We're checking it twice.
We're gonna find out who's naughty or nice.
The I.S.B. is coming...to town.

:D Thank the Lord...! Im not the oldest one here, but I suspect that Watchwolf might have the drop on me in that category - wont speculate on Eagle One's status either!  Anyone over Forty here?  We need our own "protected" threads just in case...!   We should be in a clan called GOF (Grumpy Old Farts) - rep would be temperamental / psycopathic rogue....With a bit of trading thrown in for good measure.

All the best to you mate - empathy? Maybe. Sympathy? (unless someone died) Never!   Need a hand? Just shout!

"Don't Worry-Be Happy"m8! As Maverick says, this "yard" is not only a server, it is a little "virtual world"4 our fun and  no matter how old r y(i am 39, so old dog)y will be respected here. As i see, y r a decent man,so y wil get the same respect! 4 us , no matter if y r 10 r 60 yrs wil give the same respect
If not, in present days , many players will help y to fix it! We don't like Indecent peoples. Nobody will joke on yr health problems,Y r not the only one with them on Void!
Personally, i wait to see some obsolente pearson who dare to hurt some of us, to unleashe the DOG!
I have a word:Don't laugh on somebody health problem ,no matter if it phisical r psichical, Y don't know in what condition  y will wake up tomorow!
c ya!
scz plz my language&long post! :-??

If you count all 40+ into the GOF category, [GOF] will probably be be the biggest and wealthiest clan on the VOID.

have fun

<):)

A tip of my hat to all of us old geezers!!   (I  just can't tip my hat since I hit my dash when i fast docked)

This flyboy will be seventy, as in 70, in a few months.

My ole Pard (Watchwolf) can attest to this.

:D

Yup, first thing I thought of when I read 58 was, Pit Viper will call you Kid. LOL.  As he does me. And you're right, Zeb, I got the drop on you there.

So finally someone who'll get it when I joke about being off my meds. Hm... Well maybe not. From the sound of it yours aren't quite in the same category as mine.  =P~

Glad you landed back here, Old Man. See you in the black.
