You know what you're getting now? People giving others bad karma and not having the balls to add some comment.
It seems mine has gone down 2 points, but it doesn't show me who did it, nor does it show any comments about those two - karma points. It seems it is possible to give somebody bad or good karma points without leaving a comment or even your name. This will be abused. This possibility to anonymously cast points makes it too easy for people to abuse the system and cast a negative karma point every ten minutes if they don't like somebody...
Possible result: A lot of people (even server guards) making good posts but with a screwed up karma, just because a few other people don't like them. That's not good.
At least make it impossible to do it anonymously. Better yet: make comments mandatory.

i agree here with Maverick, The system is a great one,i've seen it work on verious other communities, but allowing members to add/take away points from others without a mandatory comment and there name going along with it allows people to gain false "reputation" so to put it.
Even if only the Staff could add/subtract points would be a far less bias system and show the true worth of the karma system implimented elsewhere.

Yeah, that too. Luckily the good karma points assigned to me have comments with references to posts in them. I think that should be what the comments should be used for, to relate to the post you give a point for.
