ohh go Warchief on spill the beans. One of our members was missing for a week in a 3d system.

I like it as it is here to be honest. It's stable, it works. and as an ex pc technician as i used to tell people. "If it works leave it alone. Tweaks mess things up"

ok m8 you are way off.
yes some times there are not many in new systems but later after most the pvp'ers get off almost everyone is in new systems. the other night there were 14 players on all but 4 were in new systems. if you come on the server at many different times like i do you will see that during defferent times of the day people do different thing. many trade and exploy early or late at night then during the haevest load time is when everyone breaks out their pvp char .

as far as systems never used in the old systems you listed dresden, omega 7 strugartt, frankfort. . sorry to break your heart m8 but i have over 100k kills that say those systems are very important. and i know many others that use them also. i have more time on those bases selling commodities than you have total time on this server m8. not trying to argue but trying to make a point to everyone with this mind set. most of you play maybe 2 hours aday. there are 22 hour that you are not hear but there are always players on the server.  my job gives me the freedom to play the server anytime of the day and i do. and i can say everything gets used not all at the same time but it is all being used.

and remember this everyone THE NEW 3-D SYSTEMS ARE STARTING PIONTS THEY ARE NOT FINISHED, they are a work in progress. read the info page on the bases you will see that they are all new bases and that most are just gettting started. in time you will see those systems build more things like trade lanes and other things. you know the town you live in was not just a full blow town in one day it took time.  the old quote is " rome was not built in a day". remember that when you think about the new 3-d systems.

I just remembered something.  Last time I went to the Event System (which was a really long time ago, I'll admit...) it actually had 3D tradelanes, but not on a huge scale.  Is there any way to apply that to at least one of the 3D systems?  I think if one system got a few, (It wouldn't have to be a lot, just enough to link about 3-5 planets closest to a jumpgate) activity there would go completely through the roof.  Maybe it would be more interesting if there were only a few lanes in the vicinity of the gate...to kind of give the impression that the people of the system are in the middle of developing their transportation infrastructure.  Like eagleone said: "Rome wasn't built in a day."

The 3D systems are great to get lost in, but if you really want to see them used more, there has to be something to attract more players than just explorers.  I've heard that there are some amazing trade routes there already, and I know that a few of the planets have some pretty awesome ships and equipment for sale.  If just one of these planets was easily accessible from a Jumpgate by trade lane, then just imagine how popular the system would get.
We're making a list.
We're checking it twice.

Reduce the capacity of Mezzrat Warriors/Females and watch these systems flood.
By the same argument we should ditch all the guns people dont really use, all the ships people dont really use and all the commodities that people dont really trade.

Would be a small mod then.
Ditching them won't be necessary but theres always an alternative of rebalancing them or replace them with new ones.(i'm refering to guns, ships and commodities)

I can understand where you're coming from: there are a lot of systems, and yeah, nobody seems to be overjoyed about staying in the original (or "new") ones all day. But, as has been said above, variety is needed, and you can't monitor this 24/7 to see what's it's actually like.

Some systems should be empty in my opinion - places to meditate and keep away from that pesky Pirate that's been stalking you half the day. Every system is used by someone at some point, and everyone has their own favourite system. Cut it down, and it's just not the Void anymore.
