Taxes and General Feedback

TaHello all,

I agree that the taxes should be based on a scale for the various different levels. There should also be an agreement that if a tax is paid, that under no circumstance should a pirate attack the ship and destroy it. I know some of you will say well thats the chance you take and you cant trust pirates, but realisticly why would you kill a player who pays the tax? He will never pay again because he knows he will lose his/her cargo again.

I dont think there is enough role play in the server and all the really happens (apart from the events which in fairness can be very good) is that everyone just kills each other, and there are attacks for no reason and there is no consequence. When i played on the Fiik server we had great fun not only with pirates, but also some of the clans had taxes for players entering their system. Other players took on the role of police and hunted down other players who traded cardemine.

But most importantly persons who were clan tagged did not attack other factions without cause, and when this did happen it could cause a war between clans, alliances were made and broken, and it was good fun. I remember spending hours negotiating alliances, truces and ceasefires and this was great craic and added another dimension to the Freelancer experience, certainly alot better than aimlessly flying around shooting everything you see. Thats why i love this game, there are so many possibilities and maybe we are not taking advantage of that on this server. Lets face it once you reach level 90, and there are alot of people like this, what else have you to do???? Yes you can take part in events but why not take on board some of these ideas and lets get roleplaying........you will definately enjoy it.

Players were proud to be in a clan and would do anything to uphold the integrity of it and follow their clan code. I know i too am only here a short time, but i wish we could introduce things like this, with more structure and roleplay.

Anyway thats all i have to say, i dont expect major changes and i am enjoying my time on the server, but maybe its something to think about.
