This is just a question for those of you who have taken missions...(no need to post about problems)

Do you prefer taking them in the same system, close to the base?

Do you like travelling to other systems when the missions are offered?

Whats the furthest you have travelled to a mission waypoint (systems traversed)?

I suppose Im trying to get a feel for the changes I made (making more missions available in other systems than where your at)

personally im quite lazy when it coems to missions and the 1s i take i prefere to be within the system i take them in.

Although I perfer them right next to the base, I will take one that takes me to another system if the reward reflects the distance I have to travel.

I prefer them close to the point where I take them. The longest I ever traveled is about 40K.

I like missions in the same system, 30 K from base maximum.
I never go to do missions in other system, no matter how much money I will get.
Furthest I traveled is one trade line + 10 K

The thing about FL is a time:X ratio, where X is the variable.

Like trading, it's all about a time:profit ratio, same with missions, a time:profit ratio, maybe a time:profit:NPC's ratio.

I reckon long missions (time taken to travel) could have some success with high profits. But that's just me. ^^

No - actually if that happens (for me by accident) i cancel the mission and select one wich is in the same system.

27 k wich is already far for me - i have to agree with most as i like them close-by aswell.

I like them close to bases, but tough as old boots, I often fly out on a nomad mission with no bots and bats and only guns on my ship,

sometimes I only just manage to limp home

I prefer them fairly close to the base. Not RIGHT next to it, though. Players, albeit "good" or "bad", who are looking for easy marks to hunt and see another player hanging in a system a long time (and so must be running missions), should have a harder time finding them rather than just checking all the bases in the system.

But yeah, I don't like to go far to a mission. I rarely take a trade lane and will fly maybe 50k at the most. Like Burn, I have only accepted an out-of-system mission by mistake and usually will abort it.

EDIT: LOL @ Retribution... I agree about "tough as old boots" for missions. But I have to admit never having the nads to go without bots and bats, so fa. I hate to lose all that booty.

Well, i like them close too.  Max 30 k. Never in other sistem. If i take one like that by accident, i cancel it.
Thats because i enjoi the fighting not the traveling.

But if will be very ... and i mean VERY profitable misions, i would travel 1 sistem away for them.

For myself I prefer in the same system within 30-50k.

I take the missions with the highest payout, I don't care about the distance I have to travel. All about the realistic experience, one might say!
