Re: Games you will NEVER forget
Wow. So many to choose form. Maybe to put them in some sort of order:
Arcade game: Joust (Yes, kids... there was a time when the only way you could play video games was in an arcade)
Atari Game I'll never forget: ... Missile Command
First PC game...will never forget it and still play it sometimes: Links 2003 (that's a golf sim for you younger people)
Favorites: Elder Scrolls series.. but especially Oblivion. That game ROCKS!
Freelancer of course, but also Tachyon:The Fringe
But I have to admit, the game series I will never forget above all is... and probably no one has ever heard it them:
(Drum roll....)
Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine / Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb

Re: Games you will NEVER forget
Hmm.... lets see.
Metal Arms: Glitch In The System (PS2, 2003 - Best game nobody played 2003 as voted by IGN.com lol)
Empire Earth (PC, 2001 - best strategy game I've ever played, although I wish every damn character in the game didn't have to have that cheesy smile)
Burnout 3: Takedown (PS2, 2004 - awesome music tracks, and I STILL haven't managed to beat the World Tour)
Destroy All Humans (PS2, 2005 - Funniest Storyline ever, although it could be a little more in-depth for after-story gameplay)
Freelancer (PC, 2003 - and who here hasn't played this? And, for that matter, will ever forget it?)
Hee hee, everything before the 21st Century is a mystery to me
Ping Pong on the Atari Tv games system.
Elite, Frontier: Elite II and Frontier: First Encounters on the Atari ST 1024.
Yeh, that one and some more with Spectrum 16k were the firsts I played-
Another that causes big impact was "Pacman"
Other very important game was SuperMario
More modern and also very important game was Tomb Raider
I cant forget in strategy 2 games- Roma Total War - Ages of Empires
War strategy- Commands (the first spanish game that had success in the world)
Shooters- The unforgetables Counter Strike&Quake
there are more but these were the most important for me, and they opened doors to others games

Elite Frontiers (Amiga)
Final Fantasy VII
Metal Gear Solid 1
Rebel Star 2 (Spectrum)
Pro Evo
Oblivion
Tomb Raider 1
Some of these games truely set the bench mark for later games.
Remember seeing the T-Rex for the first time in Tomb Raider. Or the intro for metal gear.
And who can forget rying to figure out the quickest trade run and the amount of fuel required in Frontiers, or checking the boards for jobs or missing people. Good Times.
