I do alot of reading here even if i dont make a remark on every single post  



ive been amazed in the last week  with the great role play onthe server as well as on the forums   jase katar series great and the replys and stuff  nice work guys


ive also noticed some real battles kicking off in  sparta alex and such and its really nice to see people utilizeing what is here for them

also ive noticed while these big fights happen theres been alot of good comments and gf's givin between players

its great sportsmanship  and we who appriciate it   do   appriciate it      thanks guys

also i notices how nice it is where everyones not calling each other cheaters and such    theres no need for it    work out your problems in a mature way or f1 out and have a smoke and a pancake

Shonen,  Do you take part in any form or role play and "play along " with the role or do you just come here and irritate people and run around the various systems shooting things?  Nothing wrong with it, it is after all a shooting game, its just that the post does refer to those engaged in actual RP and not just using it as a convenient sheild when they get moaned at.  Just a thought - and I thought you were taking a break from here anyways...?

The VOID has a draw to even you, the most moaned about player here! .... so the answer is - Yes - you do play a different game.  You seem to be unable to grasp the simple fact that people dont want to play against you mainly due to your poor attitude.  Your lack of any sort of humility or graciousness here is frankly what causes the "grief" you get from others  - and sadly those that you group with have a tendency (not all the time) to behave the same way, particulary towards players who are less able and experienced than you are.  Its one thing to be able to beat everyone and pass on your knowledge and skill - its quite something else when you turn up here - shoot everything that moves, make other players so ticked off that they decide not to bother playing anymore - whats the point? They are not going to be given the chance to learn anything, just be told how rubbish they are.  In your "exalted" position you must accept that some people are going to "moan" at you.  You have a choice.  Ignore it.  Be kind and teach the vanquished some survival strategies - this will in turn enhance your challenge and also give them encouragement to come and play here, or just continue being the arrogant player you are. Your choice.

Being beaten isnt the problem, its the manner in which it is done that is the problem.

I wont go into details but the small amount of PvP skill I do have has been taught to me by players that have beaten me frequently. These are good and experienced players - some who have even beaten the great shonen.

There are many different styles - some I can now combat against - others I still have a problem with. Some I just plain avoid as the challenge is no fun at all.  A two shot pass without even a scratch on them even when my weapons speeds match and the cross hairs are bang on target?  Nah. Not interested - after a while it becomes tiresome.  So I go play somewhere else or go and face a challenge more to my liking and ability.  

You are welcome to come play here.  Just dont be surprised and post these comments about being moaned at until you change your attitude.  Its realy that simple.

Shonnen deals with people in his own way for his own reasons m8
Rightly or wrongly he doesnt take screenies and report people, Im not going to debate it, as I do the same.
What Shonnen does, and does well is pvp or PK or whatever other term you like to call it.
For this he puts up with what you get for excelling at killing other people.

Again Im not going to debate it or reason about it either way, its a fact that when you become a top people killer on void you have to learn to deal with the abuse that comes with it, I know, I used to deal with it as well.
You might ask if its that bad why bother playing, Freelancer gets ingrained into you, the better you become the mosre addictive it gets and consequently the more nastyness you have to deal with from other players.

Thankfully im no where near as good as I used to be, so the games far less hostile to me, along with peoples perception of me.

All I can say is, If you had seen some of the things typed at him, you would understand.
I know what the replys going to be, but some people dont play that way, and  some would rather kill the offending parties in game, but the anger can easily seep out onto these forums.

Im not asking for anything here or trying to defend the man, just my perspective as I too was once in the same boat.
I hope some of you can, even if its only a little bit, understand the man.

Without trying to instigate a discussion, I think it's only fair to stick up for Shonen for once. Most people will disagree, but it's a fact that Retribution is right. 99% of all the people having an opinion about Shonen, don't know half of why he is like he is. Until a short while ago I was one of the people who really didn't like his attitude, but both Shonen and myself took the effort of talking to one another about it and after hearing all the facts and seeing what kind of guy he really is, I can honestly say I don't blame him for his attitude. As a matter of fact, if I had experienced the same as he did, I wouldn't be anything different.
Fact is most of the people here have a totally wrong image about the guy, because they already made up their opinion and don't take the time to actually get to know him or even listen to him. I don't blame his attitude on him, but on other players.

Great to hear about how things seem to improve, even though some still feel they are treated badly, and this is a really good thing.

With the RP of EVIL vs Navy there have been large battles since the creation of EVIL (The tag not the Evil it self)

There has also been alot less moaning, and complaining at least that I have seen.

This is a good start for everyone to improve how they act and making good examples on how to behave. If the "Better" curve continues this way then soon almost everyone will be happy and have a good time.

I would like to add that many players with a much worse record have been given second, third or even more chances by the community in the past. And in the light of recent positive developments, why not grant him the same honor. All I'm asking is to approach other players with an open mind, set aside your prejudice and actually take the effort to get to know a bit about people before you make a judgment. Not only in regard to Shonen, but in general. Much negativism is based on misconceptions. If you are 'not here to make friends' that's fine, but in that case you should neither have an opinion about other people.

By the way awesome to see things seem to be changing for the better. It's a bummer I don't have time to play these days. Keep up the good spirit and Scream On!!!!

Shonen m8t , thats just about the first post I have read from you, that doesnt involve a sly remark or boast or negative comment.
I like to see the nicer side of people get expressed more, and you my friend are no different.
If you were to continue in this way i am sure that you would find other players alot less hostile towards you.

Ent - You have a nasty side as we all do but in game I have found you more giving, in the way that you help people, or write tutorials (except from that piece of nonesense about traders and ATs  >:P  ), thats why players respect you even tho you are / were amazing at pvp. (getting old m8t, the reflexes arent the same any more) Did I mention you have a nasty side? lol.

Gan - I believe that the void is in the process of changing again. Altho this time it will be for the better.  Roleplay has been great, large battles are being fought and the next update in the mod isnt a million miles away.  Things are looking good my friend.  More clan activity always helps the rp and long may it continue.

As for Rp in battles, I can say as a Rogue, you guys are a lot of fun to fight, sleepers beware. I have to give a nod to DACIA who take it as well as give it. Then there are a few, who don't seem to get it.
there is a differance in trash talk and talking smack to ones enemy. There is a differance between I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT and LET"S FIGHT  and everyone knows no PVP in the NEW YORK System. ok soap box gone.

i would do it if i could but i cant. simply cos im not the greatest of fighters.
if i ask nicely will you give em a torp or 2 from me cos quite frankly they are really doing my head in
i go at 1 and i get 10 spam me into next week. ckeeky blighters then say gf and laugh at me.
like there some sort of super fighters and im a noob. to be honest i dont even know why i get into these situations cos there really is no point with all these navys. the only chance ive got staying alive longer than 3 seconds is when a cpl of evil chars invite me into group. and then we still dont stand a chance.

well i wish i could kill the way you do and stay alive longer than a cpl of seconds.

i agree thru the years ive had alot of people moan to me about you san  even you to Es  you guys just cant seem to win maybe your looking for a respect where your never gonna get it from players you treat badly

maybe up your diplomacy with people on the server  and see what level that takes you too   and if it dosent work theres always  other servers to play on  ------->

and didnt you say in the unbias action post or something you were out of here ? seems your still here m8 theres sayers and do'ers and then theres just sayers
