Re: MARAUDERS - concept ship models

Post by Onimuska »

I have been having fun at modeling, just got into it really. Here's A list of royalty free stuff you can have. Its all stuff I either converted to ms3d, found and modified, or made myself. put anything you want from here in the game ;)

Mine:
Arnaxian_CargoTransport: A recent player on the scene, this strange species quickly allied themselves with the nomads. There ability to manipulate a strange high output energy source quickly makes it apparent how the nomads developed their new Crystalis fighter. This massive cargo transport boasts a massive 5000 unit cargo bay, 12 class 7 weapon hard points, it maneuvers about as good as the Armored transport and can get up to cruise speed 33% quicker due to its power unit. It has 15000 units of hull armor and class 8 energy shields.
ImageImageImageImage

Crystalis: Introducing the most extreme Light Fighter. This baby is ALL power, Sporting 4 class 10 weapon Hard points and the power plant to back em up. It's an engine with wings. Ultra Fast, ultra sleek, the shields hold an amazing HF class shield capabillity, however the sacrifice is that it has only 500 hull and 5 unit cargo hold. Also, you will have to steal it from the nomads :D

Excaliber Dreadnought ok, this one deserves a background:
In Answer to the newest Nomad arsenal, the Order in conjunction with the Monkeys and the Robots designed and built the most advanced Dreadnought ever seen.
This baby boasts 20%more armor, 10% more shields, 25% better turning than the Liberty class dreadnought, 50/kps top speed , spins up to cruise speed 15% faster and has 20 hard points for weapons. If your on the wrong end of this baby's guns then you better think about running away quickly.

Ok, since there is confusion as to how 4shared downloading works...
1) click on the name of the ship that appears above the pictures to go to the download page for that file
2)click download Image
3) WAIT 10 seconds... Image
4) finaly click the download link Image
ALL files are in ms3d format (Milkshape).

*edited sparrow design and added pics
*wasn't happy with Sparrow so I re-edited it along with Eagle and Raptor designs and added/updated pic's
*added Crystalis w/ pics

Yeah! that's the Mk VII Viper I requested from MODAX.... I also love how the Viper Mk II looks... Strail, any chance the old one can be replaced with Oni's? Pretty please! :D

Oni, keep it up, I have a request if it's all right? Since you have a little know how making big ships... I'll send you the pic of it when our clan-site's back up.

I wouldnt mind half of those in the new mod u should check out with the top dawgs. On saying that i think that USAF & Nova would even be really good bases in my opinion.

FLUP News Network.

Post by Gabriel_Angelos »

"GOOOOOOOOOD AFTERNOON SIRIUUUUUUUUUSSSSSS!!!!!

This is Henrik von Strab, the Reinland correspondent for FLUP news...

The war between Marauders and Syndicate escalated this morning when a multi-ship exchange occurred in New Berlins orbit.

It all began when news reached the news room that a Syndicate Battleship of an unknown designation had been spotted attacking another Battleship known only as the USS_Enterprise.

It became apparent early on that something was amiss, a battle of epic proportions was underway with both ships trading consecutive broadside volleys, but also a single Dacian fighter was seen to be engaging the Syndicate vessel.  The strange thing about the spectacle unfolding above us was that even though the USS_Enterprise was, to an unexperienced eye, concentrating fire on the Syndicate warship, my camera man had managed to find that one or two of it's turrets were struggling to track the vessel and even fire.

When they did though they seemed to be acting independently of the others and were engaging the Dacian pilot almost herding him into the Syndicates firing solution.

Approximately 5 minutes after the conflict began reports of a Marauder strike vessel thought to have been piloted by the mysterious Grey Knight known as Gabriel Angelos entered New Berlin, exactly what his business here was is unknown but this reporter believes that the recent declaration of war by clan Syndicate in recent days may have accounted for his intervention.  Supporting the beleagured Dacian, Admiral Angelos began taking the fight to the Syndicate Battleship in earnest when a perculiar event took place, an arc of pure energy was seen to leap from a hull breach in the Syndicate vessel, striking the Enterprise and momentarily imobilising both fighters.

Image

The fighters soon managed to regain power before crashing through the planets atmosphere.  However to everyones astonishment, both battleships began to ignore eachother and started to fire wholesale at the two pilots.  Moments later a second Marauder vessel piloted by Captain Venger entered the battle and the Syndicate battleship was brought to heel and vaporised as it's reactor core went critical, the resulting explosion lighting up the dawn with what seemed like a second star.

Image

But the battle was far from finished, the USS_Enterprise continued to fire on it's saviors, although sources tell me that communications were intercepted of a crew screaming for mercy, with garbled reports of a virus causing ship wide system malfunctions, weapons locking and firing of their own accord and their inability to power the systems down.

I am afraid to report that nothing could be done for the poor souls on board and was, after an even more desperate fight was destroyed, although all vessels were again disabled by the mysterious energy shot out into the nearby asteroid field and dissipated.

Image

As we all know, any threat to civilian transport and the nearby ring installation is not tolerated by the Reinland Government, although a statement from a representative of the New Berlin Parliament was quoted as saying that 'with great regret the USS_Enterprise was destroyed with all hands' and that 'if not for the intervention of the three brave pilots the situation could have escalated to an even greater loss of life'.
To show their gratitude the Reinland Government had the 3 pilots ships retrieved by rescue tuggs and taken into the Oder Shipyard to be repaired, free of charge.

This is Herman von Strab, for FLUP news, the news channel that cares.
Signing off."
