The Server Is At Risk

Bottom line: We don't have enough funds to pay the Server Bill this month. It's due on or about Sept 15. They're a little inconsistent about sending it.

We currently have Approx 60 USD in the account. That's around 41 Euro
The Bill is about 72 Euro, about 104 USD at the current conversion rate.

We are about 45 USD short, or 30 Euro.

The math is simple. So is the consequence when the bill is not paid. They automatically shut down the server until the bill is paid. No questions, no negotiations, no "partial payments."

We need donations. Plain and simple. So if the Void is important to you and you have a few coins knocking around in your pocket, please help.

Please understand we dont ask for donations so i can go drink some beers on your expense,all money donated to The Void goes exclusivle and directly to server costs.

No slight intended to those who cannot give financial support... there are vary many ways to support the Void. Stay. Play. Share the Void and do what you can to make and keep it a positive experience.

Drifting off-topic a little, but there has been way too much negativity lately and it's chasing people, very good, long-lasting veteran members of the community away. We don't need that.

We have overcome so much in the past and kept the Void together, all doing it together, many times. I have wondered why, and what it might take to help people see how important the Void can be.

It's not supposed to be serious, in the sense that it's a game and not to be taken seriously, but it IS important in the sense that it is a community and we are all one people united, from nations, cultures, faiths, and races, from all around the world, doing something we love together. What we have is unique and special and it pains me to see it at risk, whether for lack of funds to keep it going or lack of a sense of community to keep it going.

It seems that when things get really rough in the Void, the community bands together and solves the problem to make the Void safe again. Let's treat the issues that put strain on the community and player population the same way we treat a low account balance or a dead server that needs to be replaced or our founder needing to retire for personal considerations. Those are important but so is being friends. We can kill each other in the game and then have a laugh about it in the forum.

at the risk of sounding like an ass, isn't it possible for void to get ads to get some income from the site?

i wish i could help with cash , but no paypal in my country and i rarely use CC' on internet
But while renewing the website and domain of ESF which i got by help of Strail and Vector-x then i will send more cash via Western Union so i can cover the Website / domain thing + some Good Worthy Donations for Void that can last like 2 or three months i hope.

@ Cursed_One: We are trying to get sponsors. We offer, they either accept or not. We have one, so far, *ahem* who pays to post an ad.

At the risk of also sounding like an a**, when potential sponsors check out the Void site, as you would expect when you invite them to sponsor us, and they see a host of argumentative posts, posts about people leaving rather than joining, and just a handful of players in-game, it makes sense that they decline. Looking at in from the sponsor's point of view, they want to post ads on a site that will receive the most bang for the buck, where there is a lot of traffic by a lot of different people, where the atmosphere is positive, or at least reflects well upon them. They post ads in the hopes there will be a return on their investment. In other words, that it will generate revenue, such as sales or visits to their own site. If they don't see that they go away. When the potential sponsor affiliate doesn't match the profile of the company, they say no thanks.
