Asking For Help in the RIGHT sections is not " SPAMMING THE FORUM " - i believe that you are too much tough , and need to let it go please :D - there is no need to blame the_mon for things he didn't do as you mentioned "spam" .. thankx.

@ Admin : For Evading Further Replies , Please Lock this Thing , it already ran it's Course.

Ok locking for civility's sake.

However, since the issue of ping has been raised a couple of things you can do to help reduce yours to a purer level are..

1 Make sure that only Freelancer is running on your computer. (other applications may access the internet or consume cpu/memory resources slowing Freelancer down, especially applications used for P2P filesharing or internet communication)

2 Ensure your PC is not infected with a virus/trojan/rootkit etc etc. (Many of these access the internet making your PC a zombie for someone else and they also cause cpu/memory slowdown)

3 Regularly defragment your hard drive. (Freelancer uses many small files which become easily fragmented over time, this causes a delay in accessing those files when the game needs them which can slow your PC's responce to TCP/IP packets from the server)

4 If you're using a wireless network system to connect to the internet consider using a wired network instead if possible. (Wireless networks, like all tranceiver devices are subject to FCC regulation which states they must accept any and all interference even if that interference causes incorrect operation, insulated wire does not have this problem and is consequently more reliable especially for gaming)

Sometimes though no matter what you do your ping is beyond your control, if you live in the USA your ping will be higher than someone living in Europe no matter what steps you take to reduce it, you can limit the damage as it were, but simple physical distance will always cause latency.
