This is an old cancer and it raises its head from time to time. There are people who are sadly clever enough to screw with the game protocols and "win" by default. They can even "tweek" the cheats so that they dont flag up as obviously as some do.  Of course as soon as someone is confronted with this they cry "foul" "Im not a cheat - how dare you suggest such a thing... etc etc"  In all honesty people that do this repeatedly do it just out of shear mischeif and badness - appealing to their better nature is pointless as they know its just a game and they dont give a monky's cuss about you or the game or the server, just their owm egotistical "cleverness" at beating the system - its not about the game its about cheating and winding all the honest players up, sitting back and watching the posts flame.  I wont go into naming names - there would be too many and not enough space to list them all. Some were wrongly suspected (or at least they had the sense to STOP doing it as soon as they had been noticed), some were blatantly doing so but it was difficult to "prove" and they made a big fuss about it only to be caught out when the FLAC was replaced by something different and their cheat protocols all went to hell in a hand cart and Ole Zeb pwned their sorry metal backsides.  Then when FLAC was reinstated - guess what? Yup - I couldnt touch them!

Some of the geneticaly stupid utilised cheats shown to them by these "experts" and got caught cos they were dumb enough to post pictures of using Fish Eye and other such tweeks on websites where they thought we couldnt see them and were either caught up or grassed up by honourable members of their clans.

I dont get on much due to a poor connection and I have the grace not to log onto the server and drag its backside into Laggy Hell Land - Unlike some who would do well just to log off and Frack Off in the process!
(You ALL know who you are...!) Go screw up someone elses server - PLEASE!

Catching these people is as difficult as tracking down terrorists and we dont have the sophisticated techniques and gadgets to do it with - so we rely on intelligence and luck to catch the Dumbasses and hopefuly make it not worth the ego maniac's time to even bother with this game - they can go cheat on X-Box (allthough I have heard that some of them will have been PERMA banned from Microsoft's network - HAHAHAHAHA!)

Ive said it before - People that have to cheat in a game in order to win either dont have a real life or are so screwed in the head that they are all borderline sociopaths and need special care...!

Sorry for the rant - Like Xenon said - its an old topic and the only way you can effectively stop it here is for the other members of teams to Come Clean and tell the ADMINS along with what proof they have if their team mates are cheating. If you dont and the quality of the game suffers then you have only yourselves to blame and this place will vanish up its own darkplace.  Your choice - its realy that simple.

Im getting to the point where its becoming difficult to care because I dont get on to play much - those of you who can, enjoy it while it lasts - I fully understand and appreciate why Strail packed it in.
So - Get a life and take responsibility - or dont - either way its down to you.

Void is in a very bad situation, players leaving more and more, but still there is sometimes 30~ online in night.
But when i log in, I don't see any good old player i knew in the year i was in Void, only freelancers and sometimes clanmembers or some evils and even fewer navies.

That's due to many things, i'll say those : Cheats, and spam.

Cheats cheat to proove that they win, there is a prob on them, they love victory so much, they do whatever they can do to achieve their objective...on a space game.
In HC, there is 120 players on and i can say that it can realy flame there about cheats (in game), but they still so many.
Why? Because HC continue to brings them fun! They haven't real problems in its community and they all like to fight and doing huge wars. - Not that I take more fun there than here -

Spam : in HC spam is just hated, one missile and one wasp MAX tolerated, it doesn't mean that you can't mount 5 missiles on eagle, it just means if you do, you'll get totally gangbanged and / or hated till you'll even forget the idea of spamming.

There must be something like this in Void, a solid community with a good mod, which corresponds to the mentality of the players.
You tell it's not a democraty, but this server is made for US for our FUN.
So why not bringing the cheat and spam prob like you did for Battleships vec? I wonder why.
Oh and as far as i remember edam posted the second chance post about Shonen and others in his situation. He told that it's a cartoony space sim and we could give him a chance.
Giving a 2nd chance to cheaters is simply nonsense, as bers pointed up well.

And what a discussion about old cheaters in a clan or another clan doing on a so important thread like this one? WTF sherry or whatever he's named is doing on this thread about cheat and so ?
Some guys like for e.g. a " yy " think here that if that player " xx " left void, the server will be great !
Which surprise me, is that sometimes that " xx " guy tells that if " yy " guy leaves void, it'll be better.

This is what makes void failing, hate invaded the Void, void fails more and more, every hate post results a more degree for void to fail, but here, Fail isn't irrelevant!

Cheaters should be permanently banned. Everything else is just a joke.

1st as many wrote, they destroy the fun for the "honest" players
2nd if (as it is now) cheating is a bit topic, the accusations start to run wild. EVERYONE who is good at pvp gets accused of cheating. Trust me- this *WILL* happen here once you get a certain skill and/or reputation.

IMHO the 2nd point is even worse than the first one. It drives the best players away, and even more, creates an aura of distrust among all members. Perhaps...if cheaters would be prosecuted harshly...these acusations would dimish a little?
