maybe nice idea to have special designed ships whats "alittle" better then the others and there are better thrusters/weapons (not TOO better, just, alittle better) what can be given to players who donate a certaint amoutn of money? keeps people interested in donating

Soz dude, people are donating by there own will. To support the server. As a gift.

Although it could attract the slightest bit of more donations, people who don't have the age nor way to donate would be left out. Donaters would get a ''small advantage''.

I say no, there are plenty of other ways on how to do it.

Yes, thank you Voidians for the recent donations over the last couple of days. With these we will be up and running for the next month.

I know it gets old, sounds like Admin always standing on the street corner with it's hat out looking for a few pennies for the next cup of coffee, but the fact is, the Void is 100% donated to the community by the few who run the place, set up and manage the server, administer the mods and website, and look after the place. It's free to anyone who wishes to enjoy it. Unfortunately, the people who make it happen can't afford to finance it as well.

That's why the Void is dependent on donation by the players. Voluntary donations are a lot better than asking for fees like some gaming servers do. On the other hand, we all get to play thanks to the generosity of a few. Last month we fell short of the monthly requirement until one anonymous person picked up the difference for us. This month that won't be the case. Again, thank you.

It's up to you, the community, to make sure the community and the game it supports, or vice-versa, depending on your point of view, to make sure it remains viable into the future for as long as you want it to. It's nice to see that the community remains united in that common goal.
