Having Problems Downloading Voidmod

Hi There,

Ive been trying to get things to work for a few weeks now, originally I managed to get things up and running but lagged horribly for no apparent reason. Ive basically uninstalled and deleted everything but now I cant download the void file, it just comes up with "Oops! An unexpected error (-1) has occurred"

Any ideas?

Ignore the first message, ive managed to download the file now via bittorrent, but I still cant connect, the server just doest appear, ive tried the direct connect off the main site and ive tried both Lan and Internet but it doesnt appear.

There was an error message when I unzipped the mod but I cant remember what it said

Ok guys some feedback for you,

The main link on your site doesnt work, the torrent file is corrupt and doesnt work.

I got another link from a post on another thread, which works.

Shame to say I still lag though to the point where im struggling to connect. Tomorrow im going to hook things up wired as I suspect it may be my dongle that is causing the issue.

Hopefully I can finally start playing tomorrow!!

Ok you can delete this thread now, ive got everything up and running. The lag problem is my wireless network card as I just hooked things up wired and it worked perfectly. I just need to go out and buy a very very long network cable now in order to have everything running as I want.

I do have a final request though, when I came on here I made a character called Casimus, since I uninstalled everything that dissapeared but I cant create it again, is there any way I can get that back?

This is related to your MPID which you need to make sure you keep a copy of, especially if planning to uninstall / reinstall.

Create a character on the account and let me know the name, I'll track down your Casimus character server-side and transfer it to the new account.  As I recall you can obtain a copy of your MPID by going to Start Menu -> Programs -> Microsoft Games -> Freelancer -> "Examine My Account ID".  Please keep a copy of this safe at all times as we may not always be able to transfer characters server-side.

Thanks, my old character was called Casimus my new character is called Casiimus. Anything thats there is worth transferring as its very early days for me
