Got issue with my comp

i recently upgfraded to windows 7 and found that its all great except for one thing my CD/DVD drive no longer works anyone got any idea's and its not upperfilters or lower filters as it has none.

Does system recognize that a devise driver is installed ? if not search the web for devise driver for that particular model.
an if all else fails get an external usb one..

Does the drive show at all, if not, then i beleive there is a hotfix ftom Microsoft.

the drive shows mate just wont read any discs at all but i have put my drive in my mates comp and it works fine

If you right click the drive letter for that drive and click Eject Does the drive door open  ?
and on Properties is auto play active for that drive ? if not set it to Music as this is usually the normal setting.

it opens when i hit eject i defo think this is a windows 7 issue grrrrrrr will give that a try asmo

Sorry to hear about this edam. Was your upgrade to W7 off the net or, did you buy it from the box? If from the net, it may not have downloaded all the necessary files you'd need for all the upgrades/drivers to work.

yeah similar problems through of win7 hapends. I had to look for solution for this one with no luck :/

You can ask Razor on MSN coz he has some understanding about that OP system
