cant find void server.. or any other server

hi guys.. new member, cant get online.

right here goes.. been through the stages as suggested in the forums and installed everything as ordered below;

installed fl v1.0
*restarted comp*
installed mod manager
downloaded, installed and activated 2112v5aclient?? guessin tht's the mod?
activated the above mod in mod manager
started game.. multiplayer, nothing in lan or internet   #-o

tried changing the target on the shortcut as instructed to include the i.p and port??

also tried installing the fl global server go around thing  :-<

stuck  :-?

any help much appreciated

Try connection using Direct Connect from the Home page.

Is your anti-virus or firewall preventing it?

Tried the connection from the homepage.. starts the game fine but doesn't show any servers under LAN or Internet.
checked the firewall too.. freelancer's there and its set to allowed   :-<

guessing its not the mod anyway as the game loads up with the void load screen and the main menu has also changed to the void

Do other Servers Appear in the list?
What anti virus are you using as there is a black list of ones NOT to use with Freelancer.
Avira free works fine with all operating systems, where as Avast works ok with xp but not Vista or 7 for instance.

no, no other servers appear either. my firewall and anti-virus are from virgin media,, it's there standard thing but even removing that changes nothing

i did get it working briefly yesterday but i think the server was reset at some point

Was having the same issue, but used the guide to apply the mod without using the Mod Manager. Now, I see the server, but it will not let me connect. Version is in red, but it matches the version number of the game. Do I have to update, or is it something else?

Redownload the mod from this link and retry it.

well... tried that, now it loads to the first load screen and then crashes back to windows  :-< going to try uninstall and re-install everything again  :(

It worked for me on a clean install. Make sure you uninstall the Mod Manager as well. Clean out everything you have as far as Freelancer is concerned, (except the download, of course) then reinstall, reboot, reinstall flmm, and load the mod.

My only issue is the lack of some textures. Planetary surfaces, et cetera, but beyond that it works fine.

oh no.. done the works, un-installed re-installed.. mod re-downloaded, re-installed and activated.

well.. now the game loads up o.k, go to multiplayer, internet and after a long wait still no server's showing??  *miffed*

This still sounds like your Anti-vi or firewall is stopping you from connecting especially as you are not seeing any other servers in the list.
