Issues with multiplayer

Hiya

I played Freelancer years back and now want to try it again.
I cant remeber if i ever played on voidserver  but i did have an website account here already.

Anyway my issue

When i go to multiplayer it Asks me the put in account ID
now if i remember correct the game should automaticly give me an account ID? and i only chance it when i have my old ID.

anyone know how i can fix this?

Edit i bought a new copy of the game since i dont hve my old copy anymore

You can do this.. Set up a diff account on your PC, say called guest, then run freelancer from that account it should generate a MPID when you go
to multi player. Copy this MPID then delete the new account, run freelancer on your own account and type the new MPID you generated and copied.
If that doesn't work you will need to reinstall freelancer, but do a search for anything freelancer related in your comp first as it can leave coding behind.

OKe i tried that. but didnt get a account ID ether.  just leaves it empty.


how would reinstalling freelancher help?  just a fresh install.

edit: if i use the "my freelancer multiplayer account ID"  file i get NOT FOUND  as ID ?

Hi yep but completely un-install first and run multi player without the mod first. Also a mistake some people make with MPID there are NO O,s only Zeros 0 in the number.

i installed it on an old xp pc and got the ID from their.
