Why hello there. Its been a week since i have returned. And im sad with the player count.

@Admins or strail or both, cant you send a message to each registered user for some kind of roll call? Or announce the new mod or something? Its the least you can do to help revive this place.

@Everyone else, please. Post in your clan forum. Post on whatever game you play. Make people notice Freelancer is not dead! I've made contact with several old syns. Some of them play again. Whole BL is playing. We need a navy to shoot

There is a lot to do to rebuild this place anoyingnomad, much of what was taken for granted before, has changed and I see things as a "slow burn" for the future. The server will grow slowly, but first there needs to be a good foundation for that to happen, like a mod and website that new players feel they can enjoy.

An active community posting on the forums is one thing, contributing in other ways on the website is another.
However, the responsibility of encouraging players and success (or failure) rests with the community. I always saw this job as trying to provide a platform that FL players found fun. What you did with it was up to you.

The roll call needs to be done when things within void have progressed a little more, we are talking about "winning back" players and therefore to win back players you have to provide something they want to come back for.

I am glad that some of the ?old? / ?veteran? players came back to have a look and intend to kick around for a while.
I think some solutions would be for some of the vets to post some images/pics/short stories about things that happened on void in the past. It?s easy enough, it helps to get people talking, and new players will get a feel for the place. The thing is this, you cannot expect other people to post things on the forum, they do not?unless it?s a big issue everyone is talking about, so you need to help nudge things along, by pulling out some of your own stuff and posting it. So many events / server wars etc/. have happened it should be easy for some to find something to post..even if its under the guise of ??I remember when?.?

So in brief, I am with you on this but players need to think about posting something ? not leave it upto others or noobs. Noobs hate posting stuff usually. Tips trading and fighting are another thing people can discuss.
Being a forum ?champion?, would be a good start in helping move / nudge this place along IMHO

Missed the bit about admins, there still here, but to be honest I think there waiting to see whats happening as well.

But currently with the player numbers, its not a great concern if they cant make it at the moment. Maybe gives them time to play the game again...lol

Like all of us who have some friends on skype, xfire, facbook, msn and other thigs. And call them to void.(because it isn't hard to download fl and set void). Some of us who are at the moment playing can farm some money to help other to buy AP and trade to get ships for what they need. (Pvp, testing ships...)

and yeah, make some events, and try to get more admins to be online (if they have will still for that)

What we really need at this point in time is a good Killer Clan hanging out at the Alex Gates. Dare I mention them again? DTA
There, I said it...... DTA (Death to All). Gawd how I hated them. But I remember 3 or 4 Clans of us would try to gang up on them, chase 'em, cuss 'em, kill 'em (once in awhile)...and they would just keep coming back and killing us again....and again...well, u get the picture.

I think all of us old Void Vets, would make some calls and yell into the phone...THEY ARE BACK!!!!!!! Wouldn't even have to say who "THEY" are....cuz we all know!!!

Dang, those were the good ole days....

Perhaps some of the Vets would like to form a Killer Clan again!!

DTA got banned for bad behaviour. Something i still agree with but also disagree for various reasons.

And who are you to label syn? Fill DTA's Shoes? Syn was there for a long time together with DTA. And we still (sort off) are. If theres any clan trying to fill shoes you need to look around some more on the archives. As it wasn't syn definitely.

If you want a killer clan, make one. I doubt it DTA will be back.

i was possibly one of the best in syndicate, and one of the best snipers on void for quite some time.

Running circles round pants, zeus, even ended up owning the DTA clan when they was revived. Syndicate where one of the best figher clans on void, Far superior to Saints ect, we ended up picking up all the best fighters

WE destroyed clans on this sever, most notably, the ESF.


Our downfall? we should have finished the war with Black_Legion back in 2007 when madderz bad mouthed me. We grew too arrogant because of our success and we killed ourselves.

Ok, right now, syndicate are disbanded, we wont ever be back on void as that name. Maybe some of the EX clan will get together as a new group who knows, i hope they do

I dont mind carrying on my [VOID] roles on the server, but my fighting days are over. No more clans, i would rather be there for the server.
