Mightybean:
I was in primary school, and me and my best mate found this useless, horrible "toy" on the field. It was a small pill-shaped "bean", and when you pushed it along the ground it gained momentum by itself, because it had a ball bearing in the middle of it. We were amused by its equally horrible name, "DogBot Bean" (doesn't roll of the tongue, does it?). I was looking through a toy shop one day for a present for my mate's birthday (the same mate) and I found a packet of these beans on the shelf, and bought them as a joke. They were called "mightybean"s, and ever since I started playing games online I have used this nick as a joke. However, it's more for nostalgic purposes now

I love it.
PAXILON:
"In the movie Serenity, Reavers are revealed to be humans from the planet Miranda. The Alliance government on Miranda added a chemical agent known as G-23 Paxilon Hydrochlorate, or simply "Pax" (Latin for "peace"), to the planet's air processors. The Pax was supposed to calm the population and weed out aggression. The agent worked, but too well: 99.9% of the population became so lethargic that they stopped working, talking, and eventually eating and moving. They simply lay down and succumbed to death. The remaining 0.1% of the planet's 30 million people had the opposite reaction to the Pax, becoming mindlessly violent and extremely aggressive. They killed everyone not already dead on Miranda before leaving the planet and became known as Reavers.

hm, okay then:
Spacemarine_E: When I started to play here and on Multiplayer games in general, I was obsessed with Warhammer 40k. The last letter was simply to add something personal to it. It's the first letter in my first name.
Now Loken: When my PC crashed I had forgotten to write down my MPID, so I needed a new name. My obsession with 40k had reached a new stage when I started to read the Horus Heresy series, the main protagonist in the first books is Gavriel Loken, the captain of the tenth company (or was it squad?). Anyways, he is a strong character that later gets betrayed by his Lord and commander Lupercal (Horus) when the planet he is on get's virus bombed. He dies there. Though this version of him is the resurrected version of him, the chaos version. Upon being revived by the gods of Chaos, Loken joins their side. Now I am fighting for the gods of Chaos and my goal is to slay the emperor who left us when the galaxy needed him the most. Also there is an actor named Kristanna Loken (Bloodrayne, Terminator 3) who I think is hawt!

LOL yes it was 10th company Loken

.... like Spacemarine_E I have an unhealthy obsession with Warhammer 40K and took my name from the main character in the Dawn of War story, just cos I liked the name and the game even though I read the novels long before I got the game, nothing really was intended for it than just to be an alter ego for me so I didn't have to use my real name. After seeing that the Black Legion was here I felt obliged to write an RP but couldn't really have Gabriel as a Blood Raven (which he is in Dawn of War) a run of the mill Space Marine and figured I'd make him a part of my favourite Chapter, the Grey Knights... designation Chapter 666... as it also worked well with how I wanted my origin story to pan out, those of you that know 40K and read my RP story will understand why I did this in future "episodes".
Needless to say that since I came here, when I play, I play to my RP (and that of my Clans)... that is to protect innocents and destroy evil in all it's forms... when I'm on the forums many of you guys know me as a good natured fellow who likes to help when he can, which now I think about it is simillar in mentality to some Space Marine Chapters :D.

by Kahless_uk
Kahless (pronounced Kay-less) is a character from Star Trek (virtually all series). In simplistic terms he's the Klingon equivalent of Jesus, a messianic figure and a warrior of almost supernatural prowess, Kahless introduced the Klingon race to honour by overthrowing (and killing) the evil tyrant Molor.
Following his victory he established the codes of honour Klingons now use (well in the 23rd century anyway) and created the first BetleH (bat-leth, the curved bladed weapon klingons like to use) by plunging a lock of his hair into a stream of lava.
The symbol of the Klingon empire (the three points and a circle) represent the Daq'taghs (the three pronged personal knives all Klingon warriors carry) of Kahless and his two friends who layed their blades together as a gesture of common respect and honour before they attacked Molor's capital city.
Personal honour is very very important to me and taking this name seemed appropriate as a fan of Trek and particularly of the Klingon race portrayed therein. The suffix of UK simply implies that I live in the UK and allows me to use the name in places where others have beaten me to it.

This will be pretty stupid and funny:
I got DSL internet connection 3 years ago and second day I was on FL lol...First I had in some 2-3 months Agent 47, but then I remembered 1 of my memories;
Once I won in a luna park(dunno translation, place with rides and all stuff for kids, such as small cars, the thing that turns u in circles...etc, fun park or sth), anyway, I shot from "pistol" and shot a target from which I got small skeleton that is hanging on appendage for keys or sth. Anyway, when u keep it on light longer, it produces light in dark. I liked that toy very much and I had it on my finger when I went sleeping. I had terrible nightmare that night with graveyard and something...
I remebered that dream and I've put Skeleton as my nickname, to scare other people instead of myself

I think mythology is interesting. Being boring and uninventive, I unwittingly picked one of the most common game alias' around.

by Verminard
Verminaard is a character from a set of early Advanced Dungeons and Dragons novels, collectivelly known as the Dragonlance Series. Notice the ommision of the second `a`, this was to ensure that no matter where I try to register, I can normally use this Nick. Yes I know he's a Evil type, but.... I like the name :D
Verminaard of Nidus (Reorxmont 12, 313 AC - 351 AC) was the last of the line of Huma Dragonbane and a Warrior who rose to prominence under the dark shadow of the Dark Queen. It was prophesied by the god Paladine that in conjunction with his true brother, Verminaard would achieve great things and be able to banish the dark forces forever. However tainted by Takhisis, Verminaard would instead become one of her champions during the War of the Lance, and one of the first Clerics to show signs of the return of the true gods during the Age of Despair.

Pest - when i first came here I used to be bounced about by every one and really was a pest more than a threat to any pvper.
[X]EF-Pest-[X] was more resiliant and once with Master we managed to get a tax of 100 million to not attack a clan for one month.
EntropySlayer.
Entropy, has often been associated with the amount of order, disorder, and/or chaos in a thermodynamic system. or sometimes is used as a descriptive word for decay.
Slayer - well it sounded good on the end.
Retribution - the nick im using now - when I came back I found piracy and pirate kind murdered by the forces of law and order and figured they must be avenged.

Forum Nick:
BABIECA:
it was the horse of "EL CID CAMPEADOR" or "EL CID". He was a very big hero in the Medieval age during "LA RECONQUISTA" (the recapturing") in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) when we were fighting against islamic invasion (almost 800 years of war: started in 718 and finished in 1492)
Many of you know his name because we have the Tizona del Cid guns (tizona was the sword of "EL CID" and you can see it now in the Army Museum) So I thouht it was apropiated nick for FL
On game nicks
GITANO: Means Gipsy. My RP with this char has not allies, no home, no rules (except server rules)
=DTA=O: I thought that a simple Circle coming from the space with the others DTA was a very nice SS
=REAVERS=Dumb: Dumb adjective has 2 meanings as you know and I liked the Ambiguity, specially in a clan that cant talk in system chat
[Saint]-tniaS A mystic name (clan name reflected in a mirror ) for a Mystic clan
=TERCIO=Gran Capitan: Gran Capitan, name Gonzalo Fernández de Cordoba, another Spanish hero, that created the TERCIOS, the strongest army in the world during 200 years
[R]-Moaner- One player called me Moaner so decided to make a Rogue char and kill him to hear him moaning, and I got him

, after that I kept the name

The Übersoldat is Wilhelm "Deathshead" Strasse's greatest creation. It is a brutish cyborg with technological and cybernetic enhancements. Übersoldat is equipped with a Tesla gun/Panzerfaust combination, making it exceptionally deadly. The Übersoldaten are heavily armored and can take a massive amount of damage. Combined with their heavy armaments, this makes them very dangerous." Return to Castle Wolfenstein" :D
