An introduction and a request for help.

Hi all members of the AoF.
I'm new to the orginisation. I have a char named [AoF][A]Deaths hand. I'm a good fighter and a reasonable pvper but I'm new to void itself and it shows.
First, I owe an appology to aurelcici. You tried to open a group channel to me m8 but I didn't understand the comms properly. I didn't mean to offend or ignore you, I was just a bit confused with the coms system. I'm normaly a loner and don't comunicate much ingame so it's all new to me. Hyberdrone set me right on the coms and with transfer and other things so thanx hyberdrone.
I am getting used to everything now but I would like to request help.
My pvping is good but I need practise. I'm letting myself down with a couple of stupid noob hangups and I would like to hook up with some of you ingame to iron these out. I've also got a couple of new tactics I've been practasing that I would love to test in pvp so if you see me ingame and you can affored the time, then give us a hail and lets get together for a little pvp session. It would be hugely appreciated.
I tried out one of these tactics in pvp succusfuly but was acused of cheating??? I had used what I call the drift tactic. All I did was kill the engine and use straff and thrust/reverse thrust to manouver. This is a great tactic. Makes you fast and hard to hit. Prevents people getting close enough to torp you at point blank. Very entertaining to watch. I understand the unwriten rules of pvp ( no regen etc...) so I asume that it was my tactic that this person didn't agree with.
Is the tactic I used not allowd for some reason?

Good to hear that you have mastered the Drift Tactic....I still seem to have two left hands and six thumbs when it comes to PvP.  Team up with Hyberdrone in the EFZ or where ever.  He is good for a PvP training session as are aurelcici and alain.  The more you PvP the more you learn.  

When you are good at something and have mastered a fast manouver tactic you know you are doing something right when folk start calling you names.  If you are ever harrased by anyone let me know. (Screen Shot and PM to any of the Voids) Dont Flame on the forums.

As long as you are not breaking the server rules no-one can accuse you of cheating.  I have certain guidlines on the use of Nanobots and Batteries.  Its not against the rules to regenerate - its just not considered good form when involved in a PvP type fight.  If you get jumped and want to make a run for it then I have no problem with regeneration - if you turn to fight then consider it a PvP - so the unwritten rule applies.  From what you have said I dont think that your tactic is in anyway "illegal" so dont sweat it too much - every one is a critic when they are on the rough end of a Vulcan Cannon....

Think I understand why people think it's cheating. Got asked about this from a noob to fl.
He asked for a freindly pvp and I obliged. Afterwards he wanted to know how I could travel at cruise speeds and fire my weapons. How I could be traveling one direction but be firing in another.
Think thats the answer there. Alot of people don't bother killing there engine so they don't know the benifits of it. They dont realise it's possible to travel in one direction and fire in the other without turrets. They don't realise that you can travel at cruise speeds and fire weapons at the same time.
When they see someone doing this, they think it's cheating because they believe it isn't possible to do legitimately.
