Memories.....*(sigh)*.
I get your frustration mate. First time I came here I thought someone had opened the gates of hell and let all the inmates out! - The Libery Rogues were never that difficult to catch before...!!! But I go used to it.
I get my NPC kicks in Nomad1 - at first they wiped the floor with me and on a few occasions it has been a close call. I did go up against some Bounty Hunters once in my pirate charcater and go mauled to bits. Outcasts and Fugitives can be a nasty surprise too. Like all things - they present a challenge - I like the idea that I can go up against something that is not going to just sit there and let me shoot at it.
What distresses me is the thought that if I can fly so well against NPC's then why cant I do it in PvP? The answer is that NPC's are predicatable - each type follows a pattern - a complicated patter for sure, but a pattern none the less. In PvP, the biggest advantage is not to be predictable - sadly thats exactly what I am, hence the poor PvP stats! High Value Missions necessitate a level of difficulty - the greater the reward the greater the risk.
"There are more hostiles at the next waypoint" - is the phrase I hate hearing. I'm down to my last batch of missiles and my bots and bats are toasted - you just know it might not end well at all for you....But what a BLAST! - Chin up and Give 'em Hell.....
Cya in da Black!
