Whats happend to my Anubis

 I logged on to the VOID today "1/04/08" and when i looked at my Anubis char it had no skin,no texture......it looks like the detail has been turned all the way down in the performance settings,but its up to the max..all my over chars are alright...i'v re installed the mod and freelancer but its still the same...do's anyone know whats wrong ?  .........PLEASE HELP......if u can !

i am no computer expert but i had the same problem for 2 years, no skins could not see void on the shirt of the guy in the bar, every thing was just simple even with everything turned up. i went out and bought a new graffics card and now i have a skin i can read the shirt in the bar void scream on and my graffics are great. so i would say the first thing to check is your computer graffics card. that is the only thing that changed on mine and it worked. good pace to start. maybe some how your computer reset its graffic i know that sounds crazy but weirder things have happen when it comes to computers.

I had the same problem only a few weeks ago. My graphics card burned out. My computer has a standard built-in graphics device which is low-end, but it kept me operational until I got a new card.

This might be the case with your computer too. Like Eagle One said, try another graphics card. I think it'll help you out.

Thanks for ur input guys,but if it my graphics card then why is it only my Anubis thats lost its texture and nothing else ??????....the rest of the Void and all the over chars look fine.. :-<

 :( PLEASE can some one help me ?...... I'v changed my graphics card...down loaded new drivers..but still no texture on my Anubis...i can't be the only one this as ever happend too....so if anyone as any idea as to whats happened to my ship please tell me....PLEASE....  :( ....I'v also reinstalled freelancer.. and the mod !

I doubt this will help, but try and rebuy the Anubis MKII.

It may be a glitch in the game, but i doubt it.  It's worth a go if it might fix it.

Did you mess around with the FLMM (Freelancer Mod Manager) files at any time? Maybe while trying to insert a new ship skin? This might cause the same problem if you don't do it correctly. It surely sounds as an error or a missing file inside the Anubis MK2 data in FLMM.

Try this:

First download this the UTF editor. It gives you the ability to nose around in the FLMM files. Be careful you don't change anything! Here's the link:

After downloading and installing the editor, open it and click on 'open file'.

Navigate to your FLMM directory. The default location should be c:/program files/freelancer mod manager.
When you found it, go to: mods/Void2115v2/DATA/Ships/Monkeys/Ap_elite

There should be 3 different files here: ap_elite.comp, ap_elite.sur and ap_elite (without extension).

If you cannot see the file 'ap_elite (without the extension) now, this is causing the problem. Also, when the name of this file is off, it will cause the lack of skin in game. So check the name. It should be: ap_elite

If it's there, and the name is correct,  click on it and select 'open'.
Click on the last one (the one without the extension). It contains all the data regarding the looks of your ship.

You will now see a branch appearing in the UTF Editor. Expand this branch. This will open up two sub branches, Material Library and Texture Library.
Expand ´Texture Library´. This opens up 6 sub branches. All of their starts with ´mk2_'.
Now comes the important part.

Expand each of the six sub branches. If everything checks out, they will all expand in a file called 'MIPS'. If one of these don't show up, then there's your problem. Remember, there should be six.

Solution to each one of the potential faults described above: reinstall the newest mod. Here's the link:

Don't forget to first deactivate the mod you are currently running before reinstalling.
So deactivate, then reinstall and then activate again.

Maverick ur a star m8....there are three files..but the last one was "ap-elite.sur" and it was empty...so i'v deleted the mod and i am now down loading it again......  :D Thanks m8....I hope it works...i think it will...See u in space m8..with my lovely TEXTURED Anubis........If not....i'll just buy another ship ...Thanks again Maverick.. =D>  =D>  =D>  =D>  =D> ...and a round of applause to every one else who tryed to help me =D>  =D>  =D>  :D  :D

 :(  :( Well it dident work :-< i found the three files but thay all had extensions "ap-elete.cmp"
"ap-elite.sur" and "ap-elite.mat" the sur one was and still is empty. I'v deleted the mod...the game....and the FMM.....reinstalled them all,and it's still the same...used another G card...still the same :-< .....Please anyone...help me...maybe i could pray to STRAIL... :-< i dont know though.....will he answer?...is there a STRAIL ?...i use to think there was a Father Christmas...but look how wrong i was about that... ? .I'm sure some one in the VOID can tell me how to fix this....(well i hope)

Sorry it didn't work out for ya m8. Unfortunately I wouldn't know where the problem would be. I am beginning to think that it could be a server related issue. Try PM-ing one of the server ADMINS about it. That usually works more quickly then posting a general call here. Try Fracture or anyone. Though they are really busy with the mod, they might be able to help. Keep in mind that it make take some time for them to reply.

And maybe there is a Voidian who can help you out. Don't know...

 :-?I'v noticed that not only is the Anubis Texture less too me but so are the Viper and the Crusher...i'v got a new ship..but would still like to no what as happend ?????..anyone got any idea ????....PLEASE  :|  :|.....Oh...and what do u think of my Avatar..?  :)
