Mod makers - a little love for mission runners?
Dear mod makers,
Ive tried your dynamic trading system and hats off to you its works very well, with nothing mapped I made 20 mill in a few hours and on one run I made 4.3 mill. But I just hate trading, hate it with a passion.
But this post is about us players that make our money running nomad missions, which seemed to have been nerfed since I was last here, no longer do you kill every single nomad fighter in a mission hoping it drops a shield, no longer is finding a nomad gun a nice little boost to the mission prize. All i get is price nerfed nomad guns and deep scanners.
Over the last few days Ive found that the only missions actually worth the effort are the assainate target ones - IN, torp target - out again.
Theres no enjoyment to it anymore, its become the same kind of grind as the old trading was here.
So please, for the love of us mission runners, if you have the time, fix our nomad bashing.
Thanks for your time.

yea i have to agree, i have mentioned to strail that the npc do not seem to drop loot like they use to.
i still have my finger crossed that strail can add hel missions, or i should say missions against the hel, they would be higher money than we have seen in past, but would also be set up in such a way that you would need to be grouped to run one.
i personaly think most of us would like to run real super high credit missions that were very tuff and we had to have friends to help. makes the mission more of a clan event or atlest a thing you could do with your m8 and still make good money.

The dynamic economics is a nice and new concept regarding trading
Most players have responded positiv to it with few exceptions (for example some individuals don't understand this new feature)
BUT the mentality of most players here (including me) will not change - i'm refering to numerous players wich find it very boring to trade and i can't blame them becasue it is (it get;s so boring sometimes to the edge of frustrating :) )
Let's not forget that the main concept of this game is a shooting one (you don't get any trade missions while doing the Single Player campaign in Freelancer)
I would like to quote myself on this matter:

Let's just see how things go in the next weeks regarding the dyamic economics and draw conclusions after.A little off topic suggestion:
Players should be encouraged to do more missions instead of trading (in the end it's a shooting game) and like i have mentioned above trading is found very boring by many players
My sugestion would be to bring back the Nomad-1,Unknwon-2 etc etc mission by increasing the numbers of enemies encountered at the mission waypoint
I still remember doing missions in Nomad 1 with the Spartan ship (the black one) against Nomads and encountered a tuff resistance of up to 7 Nomad ships wich came in 3 waves.
One had to use bats and bots and even run out of them to tractor those from the npcs (Those were the days ) It would take you up to 10 minutes to complete one but it was all worth it.
I don't know why they were downgraded in the first place? (players complaining?) The loot was also very profitable:one Nomad shield sold at the monkeys for 600 k and nomad blaster/cannons @ 300.THis could be rebalanced maybe at 350 k a shield and 170 k blaster/cannon given the fact that the incresed enemies numbers will automaticly lead to an increase of loot aswell. (price change still needs some thinking) maybe it won't be necessary at all.
All i see now is people trading and only visiting Nomad-1 or Unknown for the mear purchase of ships and ammo.

I must be very boring then...... The trading to me, whilst certainly tedious, brings an element of exploration and discovery - getting the Dynamic Economy to work to your advantage works for me. I dont trade ALL the time - but agree that it would be good to see the NPCs drop other stuff apart from Deep Scanners. The Red Hessians, Outcasts, Fugitves and Pirates in Babylonia seem to be a bit more generous with their booty than in some other locations - anyway we could get them to drop cargo a bit more a bit like some of the Nomad ships do?

i believe that dropping loot is one of the most fav methods that end in gun's merchants stores. but not anymore
since the loot dropped is very small and not including guns
hopefully we wish this issue will be fixed on the second release or the third of the mod

Re: Mod makers - a little love for mission runners?
Best thing was high payed missions in nomad 1 with nomads dropping lots of gear and ability to sell that gear for a great price at monkey outpost and uk2.
It would be great to have that once again :)

The Hel missions that eagleone mentioned sound very interesting, I hope that they are added.

Re: Mod makers - a little love for mission runners?
If you remember, in the 2112 mod, we could make more money in the missions with the guns and shields that we could tract 2 the npc's then the mission price.
In that days, i was totally against the trade.
My in game money, was made only by missions . I hope Boss will find a way 2 help us make money in missions not with trade!

Re: Mod makers - a little love for mission runners?
I remember first time I was on void, there was this trade route in alexandria where you could make some good money, but still i liked missions more...
Im doing some missions now, but they are getting boring, just shooting some nomads, and only things I can beam are those deep scanners...
and sometimes blasters...
c'mon boss, give us some fun missions with high profit

Re: Mod makers - a little love for mission runners?
Npc's are indeed dropping more cargo but the prices on wich they are to be sold are way to low from what i have heard (for example a Blaster sold for 54000$ at the Monkeys)
The best balance for these sort of missions was available in the 2015-mod and beginning of the 2112 mod attracting a lot of players who loved to do these sort of mission most of their time online (Raptor-22,aurelcici,BLOODY,LOT just to name a few) The main reason why they took these missions was for the loot(nomad guns, shield and minedropper) wich were sold at the Monkey Outpost for very proffitable prices.
Bringing back the price settings wich were available back then would most surtenly please a lot of players.

Re: Mod makers - a little love for mission runners?
Cant do it, because the players take them to to new york, sell them to new players for peanuts and then the player sells them and make serious money in seconds.
Sadly, its another case of the thing being abused by the players. So the prices/return have been reduced.
