if youve got it on the old xp machine and it works well you could try this.locate the EXE folder on the xp machine in the freelancer root folder ,copy it, move the one on the vista machine to another location
and throw the xp one in there.i had to do this at one point because my installation disk was sratched.and it worked fine.
i even copied the whole fl folder from xp to vista and it worked fine. i run vista home premium with fl allowed through firewall.i use A vira antivirus .1 gig nvidia. 4 gig ram and 3.6 duel core pentium.
do every thing as administrator open flmm as admin .unpack mod with it still open.go to void homepage , save the direct link to desk top. and open as admin to run the game . select lan not internet. oh and dont forget to empty the save game folder in my documents. might work 4 you. i bought another disk now . hope it helps m8.
