Messages (RP, for BL and Syn)

Post by cmdrsaman »

Draugr was at his table, the remains of his last meal scattered all over around him. He ate something bad, so instead of leaning back and relaxing contentedly, he was leaning forward in his chair and thinking.

The times haven't been good lately. There was that war between the Syndicate and the Black Legion, and now, the leaders of the latter have truly gone mad, betrayed even the Reavers and broke their alliance. "Heh, so much for blood brothers." Meanwhile, the navy got bigger and bigger, and the infighting between the evil clans certainly didn't help balance the scales. To top it all off, most of the other Reavers were scattered. Some new pirate group did show up, true, but how many of those have stuck around? At least this bunch showed promise, so there was one positive thing during these times. Even traders seem to have vanished: looks like the clans have hoarded so much money that they could just throw it at any new pilots. "Good thing we sacked so much stuff from New Berlin: with so few traders around, we'd run out of supplies soon."

Suddenly, he got fed up at tapping his fingers on the table, so he got up, and started circling around his room. The sound of bones cracking under his feet was always calming. What were the Reavers to do? There're simply too many navy around, and with the evil clans fighting... wait. The Black Legion and the Syndicate have signed a ceasefire of sorts. Sending a ceasefire offer to either was pretty much out of the question, given the latest events, but what about a target treaty? Hm...

Five minutes later, Draugr was down at the prisoner pens, looking through the cells. He was looking for two navy pilots, fresh and somewhat sane. Finding fresh ones wasn't a problem (there's been an overabundance of them, after all), but sane ones... After about five minutes, he managed to find two who seemed surprisingly coherent. He went into their cell.
"You two. You're coming with me. See this knife? The last thing you'll feel will be its blade piercing your skull if you don't get up now."
The two got up without a word. That worried Draugr somewhat: he had expected them to put up some kind of resistance. He didn't want to carry two vegetables to the hangar bay. They didn't look that catatonic, though - and a quick glance at their rank strips revealed that once was a sergeant, the other a sergeant major. "Good. They might be well trained, and biding their time now."
He addressed them again. "Okay. So your names are..." he glanced at their uniforms "... Captain Jameson and Lieutenant Reddin. Good. Now follow me outta here."

He turned his back to them. They didn't try to jump at him. "Odd. Maybe they're waiting once we're out of the cells." He began walking down the corridor, with the other two following him silently. After a minute, he spoke to them again. "Now, listen to me. I need you two alive for now, but I can find two others like you if I have to. So don't try any fun stuff, because you won't succeed, and it's better for all three of us if you just come along quietly. Believe me or not, yoU're going to leave this place alive." Of course, he didn't tell him one thing: that they're probably gonna wish he ate them instead.
His hand told him that the two pilots nodded, and they followed him silently. They got into the prisoner lift, which led directly to the hangars: no need to expose them to the other Reavers, lest they go insane, or they just get eaten. He was wondering about this two, though. Were they reasonable and this well-trained that they'd come along with him without doing anything, or were these navy pilots just this sheepish? "Well, soon it won't matter. Heh heh."

They reached the place they were going to without any incidents. "I hate it when things go this smoothly", Draugr thought. To this, his arm replied: "Yeah, and you hate it when things go badly too. Nothing's ever good enough for you, is it?" "No, but when these two birdies get there, watching what'll happen to them should be funny." With that, he turned back to the two officers.
"Okay, you." He pointed at the Captain. "You take the left door. And you," he pointed at the other, "you take the right door. After that, both of you go down the corridor, and through the other door. Then wait inside." The two officers looked at each other, and nodded. They obeyed, and went through their respective doors. Draugr grinned. "Goodbye, boys." He pressed two red buttons on the side of both doors - and the containers inside closed, trapping the prisoners in them. After pushing two other buttons, the crates were launched into the hold of the two ships that were waiting. "Have fun!" Draugr waved at their pilots, and they blasted off. They flew two captured X-304 ships: not worth much, but they should be enough to get them to Omicron Theta and Gamma in one piece - and if their pilots were lucky (they were two younglings, after all), maybe they'd even get back in one piece too. He didn't really have any doubts about that, though. Their mission was simple: get in the system, drop the message beacon and the container, wait until the other evils show up (to make sure that they'll be the ones to get the message), and then try to get out.

The trip wasn't all that long, since both clans set up shop in pretty much the same neighborhood. The two ships ejected the satellites and the prisoner containers, and waited.

The message to the Syndicate:
"Greetings, cyborgs. I'm Draugr, and you'll have to forgive me for not speaking in binary: I'm not sure if you can handle hex code, after all. Heh, anyway. We've got a deal for you. No, it's not a ceasefire offer, we've no interest in that. However, there've been simply too many navy patrols flying around lately, so how about a treaty? If they show up, we'll both fire on them first, and we'll fight each other only after they're dead. It shouldn't take too many clock cycles to determine that that should suit both of us well. But in the meantime, as a small present, there's a navy pilot in that container we've sent you. Do whatever you want to him, he's all yours. Send us a message when you've decided about our offer."

The message to the Black Legion:
"Greetings, ex-brothers. So, you betrayed everyone, including us. Nah, it's cool, we expected you to do that. After all, what kind of "traitor space marines" would you be if you didn't? Heh. Anyway, on to business. We'll, of course, still be killing you - however, there're simply too many navy ships floating around. So, how about a deal? Maybe you remember the term "selective targets treaty": if there're navy pilots around, we'll both agree to kill them first, and fight each other only after that. What do you say to that? Oh, and to show a bit of courtesy, there's a fresh navy pilot in that container floating nearby. Feel free to drink his blood, or do whatever you will with him. Well then, let us know how you decide."

[/RP] Well, here was a bit of RP to wrap the offer in :) Let us know what you guys say to the proposal.

Snaggletooth sat at the refectory table viewing the last few bits of the merchant that he had just destroyed in an orgy of hunger.  The meal sat heavily on his stomach. Fighting humankind was getting more difficult as the navy exploited the splits in the loose alliances amongst the downtrodden and outcast. Snaggletooth burped.
"Evil is as Evil does" was the thought that crossed his mind. Unless otherwise instructed he would shoot at anything that moved ...

There's a ceasefire between BL and Syndicate? News to me. There are no treaties coming from us.

And going "rogue" was my idea. I thought it would bring some spice into the pot. I guess people take it personally. Just can't win.  :-??

No cease fire, no "selective targets treaty" term. The Reavers will pay for their failure, even when navy´s around.

same here. No ceasefire and surely no offer from the syndicate.

Offer rejected. Reaver pilots are as much a target as ''Navy'' pilots are.

@ Zeus: I thought that after that event with the Syndicate, both sides agreed to end the war and sign a ceasefire. My bad, guess I thought wrong.
Also, we didn't take your decision personally - as I told you, it's a game :P But RP-wise, how else would you explain that? ("You messaged us about it, we talked a bit" - yeah, that'd be really in-character for both of us :P) Your RP is that of the traitor space marines, so it's only natural that you'd betray your allies. I mean, what else do you expect from the Black Legion instead of blood and treachery: cakes and fruit baskets? :D
Anyway, if you'd like me to leave the BL out from any future stories I write, drop me a message and I'll do that.

@ Shyne: the Syn site lists you as an executive, so I assume you have the authority to make such a decision. However, let me ask: am I right, and is this coming from Molten / Dynasty? It never hurts to be sure :)
Also, what's up with that failure comment? Have you been hanging around MadMan too much? :D

Anyway, see ya out in the black soon, and <3 ya all! It's good to know then that we're still your priority targets :P

i hope my words don't be a reason for any Argues or bad reactions.

Simply Diplomacy is meant to be a relation between Groups but handled by CERTAIN individuals which we Call them " Diplomats or Ambassador " , Why ? because having a Deal or Offer or Treaty With more than one to answer , is a Failure , because there always will be a Contraindications and Objections , but if this diplomatic been handled by a Single individual who represent the entire clan or group then this might end in some good results .... atleast avoiding the many un-needed opinions will take place , and this un-needed replies can be reposted on clan forum ;)
