@ Blade - you can disagree all you like - truth is if I find you sitting at the Demosthenese docking ring or near it you will be asked to move on - failure to comply will result in you being "moved on".  Its not a difficult concept to grasp and Im not talking just about anyone that moans if they are killed afk - if your fine with it then sure like Xenon said - no big deal.  I wish everyone were as relaxed about it as you are.
Tired of fighting and need a rest? - Take yourself AWAY from the fight and either dock and remain docked or move far enough away from the War Zone as suggested (ie the Trade Lanes).

i used to get annoyed long time ago about being killed while afk , but when i began to get angry one time after another with nothing to gain but being angry lol , then suddenly i realised that it's me only who is angry LOL - so why should i be ? , it's all a respawn key ,,,,,, imagine respawn in RL ! ^^  :-SS

This is a shooter server?,

Yet the ability to destroy clans and completly wipe them out was removed with the introduction of the 3 kill rule - destroying clan warfare totally.
Even Travesty will tell you in the old days a war actually ment war - you fought till one side ran out of money or disbanded, this is not possible anymore and hasnt been for a long while.

Now people are no longer able to sit, smoke and watch a fight if thier fingers ache - or just need a rest?, because this is a shooter server?.
Refusal to fight and spectate is now a bannable offence, pardon?.

Was'nt the age old argument "This server caters for the needs of everyone, not just the pvp community?"

This is a roleplay server ( in part ) but you can only kill 3 times, after that rules forbid you from enforcing your taxing by brute force, but this is a shooter server?

This is a shooter server? or is this a server with so many contridicting rules it makes your head swim trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

Is this a server with a rules page? or are rules now just made on the whims of admins, where the penalty for not reading the forums daily and the swiftly changing rules could end you with a ban for the crime of being ignorant.

Yes Ive been absent for quite some time now, but im afraid to say from the outside looking in this doesnt promote growth on an already dying game.
I know this wasnt / isnt your intenstion admins, but it seems to me your painting yourselves into a corner here, soon to be trapped by the very "rules" you are trying to enforce.

i agree and disagree with ent

Hambourg city : no rule, just not use offensive names, don't cheat and dont harass admins.and don't insult.
Discovery : 5 pages full of rules

you have two extremes, belong to the one or the other, i think being in the middle isn't good idea.
I do think trying the hambourg city exemple would be the more appropriate, looks the number of their players.
but you have Disco, which has full rules but is always full server, but its community isn't good. Same for HC anyway, due to the constant overkill and dockrape, also killing fleas without end.

Radical situation like HC would end up in one thing : the players that come here will never complain about getting killed, cause they'll see the rules, and we'll see here many many players that shoot emselves all the day.
In night, HC has average of 20 deaths by minute!!!!
would be nice if implemented on void

No spectating... well so much for enjoying seeing a big fight in action. Can you take the wars away from major routes then? I don't want to get banned for coming out of a trade lane into a big fight and not immediatly trying to gun down everything in sight.  :-<

Things like smoke break, ''brb'', afk or chatting, all this stuff we always respected before. If anyone didn't want to be shot we tolerated it and didn't shoot. It's mutual respect between players,---> people who just play the game together, in such things like this no matter who is navy or who is evil.

IMHO i couldnt give a s**t if your afk or not i fully expect to get killed if just floating as i dont take this cartoon spaceship serious.

What im saying is rules need to be posted on the rules page, not scattered all over the forums. Because people may well log inhere to read the rules of the server but most are not going to read every thread on the off chance theres some add on rules in other sections, I know I wouldnt.

How can I comment on that?, um well Ive been working and doing more work, oh and working so I guess my comment on being inactive is - Ive been inactive because Ive not been here!.
With the recession in England still biting hard I seem to be one of the lucky few being thrown as much overtime as I can physicaly do, 70+ hours a week 3 kids and a wife doesnt leave much time for games.

IMHO Bersercer is- as quite often- quite right.
It is about respect between players. When two sides fight a war- *and* agree that someone should not be shot for some minutes- why should he be removed by admins/voids if he stays in space to watch his pals?
Of course, being AFK or smoking does not mean you are not allowed to be shot. That's a fact everybody accepts I think (and they who don't should be killed just for the point of it).

Ok - this has got out of hand and its my fault for thinking I could help instigate any form of RP in this "war".
So - I retract my previous statments.  Its a war - prepare to get killed regardless of your status.
I am not trying to be the "Ministry of Fun" here - just trying to improve some game play and allow a balance of sorts so its fun for everyone and not just those that are experts and PvP. A good friend of mine reminded me of a few pointers. So get on with it.  Have fun - kill people.

My apologies for the complete and absolute misunderstanding and ballsup. Fight shoot die - respawn. Dont worry about anything else.
