Okay. Let's end with a discussion about what is wrong and find benefits. Those old and the best players left, a pity, so what does that really mean?
I see it easily.
The competition is gone and the other new players to become the best pilots on the Void.
Next players now have the space to be an ace on Sirius.
And it's not completely wrong.

IMO, I'm not on that much and have other obligations as well to another server, clan wise but, I do like this mod and server. It's a clean server and up most all of the time I try to connect to it. Never have any problems and problems such as; CTD, lost connection, dock crashes, launch crashes, etc...etc... =D>

I like this version of the mod as well, it's on of the first server mods I join way back when and other than the missing few ships, like the Sovereign, it's all good. I like the graphics and backgrounds in it. More like space should look as compared to all the other flashy colored modded servers I've been on.

NPCs can be a bit frustrating to kill at times but, it only makes it more challenging.(they could be balanced out a bit more for players need to beat them sometimes with little effort when just randomly killing them and not doing missions) The one thing that I don't care for is, the taxing for using the bank. I pay enough taxes in RL and to pay it in a game is no fun, especially when it takes so long just to make a few credits when getting started. Most other servers have declined to charge a tax for using the Banking Function and many player enjoy that and would rather play on those servers as well. It only charges 5% but, depending on how much you deposit, is how much you get charged. But, do you know how long it takes to make back that 5%? A long time. Where do the taxes go anyway, What are they used for? This wasn't Obama's idea, was it? :-w

One other thing, trying to purchase commodities is hard to do and in order to find good trade, you have to keep changing your rep making it hard to buy/deliver your wares in different locations. NPCs practically win every time and that's no fun to keep losing what you're trying so hard to move and come up with. Credits keep dropping all the time. There's also the commodities that are sold everywhere for the same price as you pay for them. I can't seem to be able to buy anything and sell them for a better price other than the vanilla commodities and I have to fly forever in order to make that happen.

I think the regen equipment hard points need to be strengthen as well. Every time I do a mission, I lose it and nothing else. They cost a lot of money to replace each time I lose one.

Events would certainly make for more players and a better addition to the server and on a regular basis, not once in a while. They need to be scheduled for the same time each week and not all on the same day. Make different Events for different classes as above on different days. 1 v 1 Saturday Noon., 4 v 4 Saturday 4pm, etc...etc... make some of the Events, Guns Only and some, Everything Goes.  Make the participation fee a good price to bring players in, win or, lose. Then, have the prize payout for each kill and the grand prize, something that will greatly compensate for their efforts.

Have 2 of 3 and Double elimination Events. There's so many avenues that can be done to keep it exciting and eventful.

Team Fighting Events where two players go up against two more.

One other thing, put the Vanilla equipment back on the server where it can be bought, like; Adv Shields and thrusters. I mean geez, 1.0 servers still have those available. Most any other server does too.

I'm not saying to make a lot of changes to make it turn back into the later version but, restore what Freelancer had to offer in the first place and keep what's here now as well. There's a lot to explore here and the scenery is fantastic if you ask me but, you didn't and this is only my point of view. Cuss me out if it's not worth a damn.  :D

I like the mod and am trying to be on when I can and hoping to continue to build up my characters to a better standing and stay here. I like it where I'm at but, I'm getting really bored with it. A lot more lately.

I play on three different servers and they're all my choice of favorites and I have np connecting and this is one of them. I was away for such a long time and when I did return, my lone Dagger was still here to my surprise.  =D>

Many may not have liked being wiped but, it has to be done some times in order to get things going again. I didn't have as much saved up as some may have had but, it's all good and no different than leaving this server and going to another one just to try something new. You got to start from scratch there too.

This is one of the two longest running online servers for Freelancer that I've ever known of and the other one is Wireplay run by Chris Rogue. Discovery has been around but,, nowhere near as long as these two. Shatteredworlds:War-Torn was the old Asgard Server, I think and it has lost a lot of it's player base now since the creators left and turned it over to someone else but, they have since returned to try and make it like it used to be.

This is a great server and always up like I stated above and I see no sense in letting it shut down for any reason. New players join servers every day and this is one of them. I advertise this on my forums along with some others I play on and I have links to this forum included. Chaos League It's new and I'm still trying to get it going.

I'm not the best fighter in the game but, I can hold my own with the best of them and will be looking forward to any Event as soon as I can come up with more than what I have now. I do have me a Sabre set up but, there's still more to do before I can be where I hope to be. I will join any Event that comes about if, it's timed right for me and there's going to be something to be looking forward to winning. Hell, the experience is the best part about them. Win or, lose, it only makes you a better pilot in the end.

Just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions, and yes, I got one of those too.  :D

After my trade char was erased I decided not to make a trade char anymore. I earn credits from looting the wrecks and selling the codenames.  :D

persoanlly I have just moved on to other games, which in the beginning reduced my FL playing time, and atm I rarely play at all (I might sometimes log on to check if there are any old faces I want to talk to etc.).

When the 2012 (or is it 2112? I can't even remember that atm :s ) came back I liked it, everyone got to begin from scratch, but that was something some people (and I can understand these people) did not like.

Anyways, atm I wish I had a time machine so I could back in time to both 2008 when I begun here and even earlier to get to experience the "golden-age". Atm I wish that everything was like it was when I joined the server the first time.
Dacia was absolutely enourmous, ESF was flying around constantly trying to kill me, remember my first time to Omicron Delta (which resultet in 2-3 4S pilot jumping on guard accounts to ask me wtf I was doing there xD ), I remember the second(or third or something?) coming of the saints, We were still allied with Syndicate (plastic bag trololo), and last but not least there was list to damn long for me to list here of who I would consider cool guys to play with.

Anyways, this might aswell be my unoffical farewell post

I haven't really give it much to looting wrecks because, there's nothing on them when I do other than a few Vanilla wrecks here and about. Not much to make off them per making anything. I'd have to camp them many of the newer ones in order to loot them, if, I always knew when the server was going to reset but, I'm not one to camp wrecks and/or are too crazy about those that do. I have managed to hit a couple of the Battleships on a couple of occasions but most of them time, to no avail.

I'll just stick to my round about trade routes I'm doing now until I get where I need to be. I got the patience. I have managed to hit 7 of those wrecks in that one system, can't think of the name right off, the one with all the mines and the Weapon Platforms in the dark cloud. I got pretty deep into it and managed to get myself back out but, right at the end of getting out...BOOM!!! I hit the mines and lost it all after all the effort I put into getting them.  #-o grrr.....  X(

It's all good. I like going into all the systems and seeing something new each time than the same old, same old stuff I've been looking at where I am now. I'm getting myself some pretty good screens shots too. Trying for a great one to have on one of my User Account Desktops.

Cheating was never such big of a problem such as people and even entire clans being a**holes.People got tired of accusations,name calling,bullying,verbal abuse etc. and stopped playing here. That is what ultimately ruined the best pvp server. And the new mod (2115) came waaaaay too late and in its first version was not too new.
There is probably much blame to go around but i think that to talk about it is pointless.Void had its years of fame and i will always remember it as a place i had many,many great friends and great fun !

Im still reeling from the shock of the wipe   it took me ages to be able to afford a cannonball. But got a fair bit o scratch now. I ll spring a few credits on any old players who cant face starting from scratch again  youl find me on 3 evenings a week from about 11 o ckock onwards.  i m not the best fighter in the world but im finding it hard to find a worthy apponant these days. or even an apponant..  im always up for a fight.  

i stopped playing for a time about a year ago. played a load of supposedly top notch games. got bored with the sameness of them all after a while. came back to fl here after 2 months.  ill be here for a while yet.so drop in sometime chaps preferably after 11.

Yeah zyraxes players like me who not even become suspicious, because Virtually (XD) lagless aperance. Who gave helping hand all the times even to enemies or new players. Who gives fighting chance coz so naiv they will return the favour when i out numbered.

Why the hell they shoot at you if you can't even go near to hit them with any weapons coz they "unbeatable". Hell i never heard a single words like "i won't fight coz laggy today" but gangrape, spamm and other sweet things i got for many years ...and i did not said a single word... but enough is enough.

I know several players who gave up on void coz such players who just shoot n shoot, jump n jump, spamm n spamm. when you ran out of CMS within a minute if you shown up. When so called enemies sit beside eachother till a Black Legion player arrives...

However, I found out why I was so critical and annoying. It's chilling knowledge.
I like the Void. I don't know, approximately about six or seven years.
But suddenly I feel ... the Void left me - I am left the Void.
You know, It's like with my first - and so far only one  %-(  - wife. Who is the bad here? Me or her?
What's wrong? Is the Void bad? Or I, an ordinary player? Probably both, probably all ... all of us.
Someone good stopped playing, someone new had begun.

Fredy Mercury sang: You Can not Turn Back The Clock You Can not Turn Back The Tide.
But I want to turn back time, I want to return all the good friends I had on the Void.
Heh, it's impossible. I know it, we all know it.
That's why I'm so critical. I'm frustrated when I don´t have the power to change.
I have a keen head and powerful hands - at least believe it, but ... my head does not know what to do and my hands are empty and weak.

So what's next. We can start crying and reminiscing about the past, or we can accept the present day.
The Void is changed, the players have changed, times have changed, everything changed.
There is no longer the same as before.
We have to deal with it and understand it.

Ladies, if we like the Void, if we want to keep our community - the Voidians together, we don't have much other choice than to stop talking about what was - once upon a time and never has come back - and start playing and trying to keep the Void alive.
Without us, without players, without the Voidians, the Void can not survive.

Yes Richie and that is what made me disappointed yesterday ... people that I thought was a part of the best community made something I didnt expect. Blaming others for cheating and things like that and yesterday they show us how to do that in game (so question is: was it the first time ?), using stupid words ... 4S SQUAD had nice meeting yesterday and tried to make something constructive untill ... Partybreakers came. It was so so so so bad so bad so bad ... I thought I had a friends there ...

Nice series of cut outs, now I am wondering seeing as how you seam to be so upset about this that you didn't post the unaltered screenshots to a member of staff as you are supposed to, so that we can take action? Admittedly it has to be a member of staff with rermote access unless the player in question is on line at the time.
